Very cool self-observation: I think this is part of the “transformative” nature of ragas. It’s quite an interesting phenomenon because artist and audience alike are simultaneously shaped by the flow of the performance; great to know it’s working! Kirwani is one of my favorite ragas, it does have some tension there. It is the same notes as the harmonic minor scale and was brought into Hindustani music from Carnatic music. As a result, there are many interpretations and a lot of freedom for exploration. Thank you!
