I had a rescue that regularly bit me, when something frightened him. He was very upset after it, his chin shivering. He really needed some support from me.
Thanks for this & keep up the great work! Just lost my family dog from blood cancer. She was only 11 years old & had been healthy her entire life. Wish that you were still here ali. On second thought i wish that all the animals could live longer with us since i consider her & other animals a part of the family & maybe other people love them as a family member as well I loved & cherished every second we had together ali. Gonna miss you till the day i die.
My Sam, is a Vishla...maybe mix w/Lab. He's beautiful but very intelligent and highly energetic. He displays all these apologetic behaviors. My favorite is when he gently puts his paw on my knee or place his head in my lap. He is extremely eager to please.
🧡 I recently introduced a second dog to the household. She more or less accepts that my first dog is dominant but often growls at him when he is asserting his dominance. I’m not sure how to interpret it. He looks at her and then ignores it. He much more relaxed than she is and often exhibits behavior that is conciliatory without ceding his position. How should I read their behaviors? And what should I look for in the future?

Huh, do rescues BITE? We have a sar, and it loves searching. Maybe you should get a flying doctor next to him? Or a ski resort?
I have seen dogs cry/whimper when they do wrong.
