- Learn how to make an easy origami masu box, using the easiest method. This method gives you the perfect origami box and saves time. Great for beginners.
I've made hundreds of origami masu boxes. A tiny change at the start makes assembling the box so much simpler. I'm sure that many people fold their masu box this way. But most tutorials have extra steps and more creases making the box less attractive..

If you want to make a lid, you can simply make another masu box, but this time, don't fold the edges all the way to the center at 2:10 leave a gap of about 2mm on all edges. Your box will be a little bit wider.

Paper size example: 15 x 15 cm
Final model size: 5.3 x 5.3 cm
To get a box of a specific size, just triple the width.
For example, if you want a box that's 10 x 10 cm, you'd need paper that's 30 x 30 cm.

I really think it’s a paper claw
I use these kinds of folded boxes to organize my collection of Rubik's Cubes and similar puzzles (at least ones with a square-shaped base) and I figured out that the sheet size you want is about 2.825 times the measured length of the object you want to put in it. I just did four boxes for 5.7cm length cubic shaped puzzles with 16cm sheet size (that's a factory of 2.82) and they only very barely fit inside. You'll obviously also want to account for the sheet thickness, the paper I use is very thin and cheap note paper, more fancy paper would probably require a slightly bigger factor.

My opinion, you won’t have anytime with trouble with this. I’m terrible at origami and I was trying to make a basket, so helpful.

I use to make these as a kid in the "olden 80's days". Thank you for the lovely tutorial.
Definitely Recommend for the begginers, I taped the triangles when I formed it as a square because they won't stick, it wasn't a perfect square but it's good!

I made this from like a big carton/cardboard/pasteboard and I have to say that it was quite difficult to fold the folds. Made it though! Very nice feeling. Now I just need to think what I should use it for...

Ohhh I'd done this before but with less creases, the creases that you do at the end definitely makes it easier to put together the box in the end

I was scrolling for more then 3 hours and i finally found this one that was very easy
My bunny always puts her toys in her bowl so I thought this could be a good replacement storage for her. Alas she immediately threw all her toys out and tossed it side to side repeatedly... but it was worth it for her to have her minute of fun 😁

when you are folding push it a little harder so when you unfold the creases will be more visible and it will make the last part easier. hope it helped :)

If you are wondering how to make it with a lid:
- use the same piece of paper for both
- the bottom part needs to be SLIGHTLY smaller so that the lid can fit. Just cut a little bit (1mm for example) from two sides of the square piece of paper and follow the exact same instructions
