This was one of the best Bluebird pdd I've ever seen. Sakamoto is flawless (she would be a wonderful Aurora!). Yamada dances very well, with beautiful hands, and is the perfect partner. Their final diagonal of little pas de chat was so charming. The costumes are subtle and elegant, without the usual garish bright blue that is so often used. The tutu is particularly lovely.
Absolutely beautiful, a great pair of dancers who are superb together. The best Bluebird I've ever seem. Congratulations to the Dutch National Ballet's costume department, the Bluebird costumes are as delicate as the bird itself. Thank you for bringing some joy into this world.
My granddaughter and her friend went to see this ballet.They enjoyed it very much. My granddaughter is herself an enthousiastic amateur ballet dancer: classical and modern. I'm so proud of her!
I adored this. Being lucky enough to learn the princess Florine variation from my teacher who danced the male part of this blue bird duo is incredible. These variations always stun me. This one was top tier.
Beautiful. How the Mariinsky could learn some costuming lessons from the Hett Ballet. Very special to see Riho Sakamoto, from the Kirov Ballet Academy in Washington, D.C., dancing so beautifully and as a principal. The incredible Mr. Du's student, I believe!
Warum ist bei dem Solo von Prinzessin Florine ab Minute 5:00 die Musik nicht langsamer? Ich finde, das wirkt so ein bisschen gehetzt. Ist das das originale Tempo von der Musik oder haben die das schneller gespielt?
I confess I don't even like this pas de deux, but that was perfection! They were both charming and delightful in every way! It was like s beautifully-wrapped, delicious piece of candy!!
Why do you have to state such negative words about someone who is putting him self in such a vulnerable position and doing a great job dancing this very demanding role? Just because you can, just because you have an opinion? Shame on you!
