for the lvl4 feat I cannot recommend athlete enough, it allow you to reach 18str and the mobility it offers is amazing, perfect for the shattered flail to be sure you can always hit enemies, no matter how far they are great build ! will definitly be my next run
Bro, I keep starting new campaigns with various builds and team comps when I see these new vids. Why do you keep putting out so many builds? Also, thank you for putting out so many builds :) Loving your work!
Haha double nice!! Now we can really go crazy with the multi attacks! Btw, I can't wait for you to eventually make party synergy compo builds btw. Like I've seen people being super creative with the darkness party builds 😆

This right here. And the way the effects interact means you can lock down enemies with a single cleave. Because the bleed gets applied before the game checks for the wolverine ability. Meaning a single cleave is all you need to just stop every enemy within range in their tracks. It is incredible for battlefield control.
I play fairly old school D&D on paper. There my favorite build is a sorcerer. Maybe when I get to act 3 for the first time, lvl 10 plus I'll figure out a sorcerer spec that feels powerful like the old BG2, never winter and pen and paper. This build is powerful. Especially early game. Finally enjoying combat.
have you considered to use Cloak of Cunning Brume for a more vampiric approach like go near enemy(having 3 lvls in rog/thief for extra action and use hide/disengage as a bonus action) disengage to engulf both yourself and enemy in fog and use the Shadow-Cloaked Ring which has the opposite effect of to the Callous Glow Ring for extra dmg while enemy is obscured. enemy also gets disadvantage due to being blinded and you can remove your blindness with another ring or other item so you get advantage that way just by creating fog. i think there are few other items that provide bonuses to while you or your enemy is obscured so you can go for a more vampire dark fog build that way. this is more for roleplay as a fog changing vampire or you can add the share healt illithid power and wapiras crown for a dark healer build.
Love your builds. I used the Monk, Cleric Tank, Turret Bard, Sorcerer you recommended for my first honor play through. Unfortunately I went Dark Urge and did something that had my whole camp turn on me and kill me. Going to try a new party now. As with the other builds, here are my notes if anyone wants them. There is a lot of re-spec options in the video not listed in the notes. Races: Wood Elf or Wood Half-Elf, Githyanki, Gnome, Half Orc Class: Barbarian Abilities: STR-16 or 17 (if adding hair), DEX-16, CON-14 Skills: Athletics Background Guild Artisan for Insight and Persuasion Level 1, Barbarian Level 2, set reckless attack to not ask every time Level 3, Wildheart- Tiger Heart Level 4, Feat = Dual Wielder, Re-spec into GWM when you find Level 6, Aspect of the Tiger Level 8, ASI STR Level 10 > Fighter with Two-weapon fighting, GWF or Defence Level 12, Champion Head: haste helm, Sarevok's helm Cloak: protection Chest: Luminous Armour, Armour of Agility Hands: Wondrous gloves, Luminous Gloves, Hell dusk Gloves. Sword of Chaos re-spec Ranged: Bow of Awareness, Dead Shot Elixir: of Bloodlust.
The good thing is that it's an item found very early in the game, so good for reruns. Unfortunately I don't think we can force it... out of Gale after he ate it, hah!
There exists an alternative way to do this, tho you'll be swapping the levels in Fighter for Thief rouge, as well as using the Aspect of the Stalion for extra HP to work with. As well as turning it into a big HP heal.
Such a fun build overall. Idk if I'm gonna try this on my current playthrough as I'm loving my Sorcbard. But maybe I'll respec someone. Already considering changing Laezel to an EK cause of your last build! Speaking of SorcBard and Laezel. Any chance of us getting another Fighter/Mage Gish hybrid? I'm still only 1/3 of the way through, so I'm not sure how good this would be in practice, but a 6/6 sorc swords bard split seems great for casting with metamagic, attacking with extra attack and flourishes, and can synergize well due to arcane acuity. Maybe even stack AC and tank as well with defensive flourish. Idk. I'd love your thoughts on it or just an attempt at another gish in general. They really are the coolest characters and really fit a main character imo!
The sword of chaos have a better trigger than the flail, cause is on hit but doesn't specify "on enemy". If you hit a barrel, a box or whatever you still gain hp
Sorry, It's not clear how you get radiating orb to occur at Act 1. I know the armor, but that just allows it to occur. What spell or item(s) causes the radiant damage so the orb occurs? As you say callous glow ring isn't until Act 2. Thanks much!
Unfortunately, the Regen from Shattered Flail will not proc Whispering Promise nor Hellrider's Pride gloves, it's best to leave them for a Cleric Tank that can also heal allies on demand.
The only thing I did different was take the Gloves of Dexterity (18 Dex ones), and Mighty Cloth (Which ever one gives you Con+2) and respecced him to dump Dex. That way, until you get the better armor, I was at 21AC.
Either the Crusader's Mantle spell from War Domain Cleric, the earliest source at Act 1/level 5 OR most importantly, the Callous Glow Ring starting from Act 2 which is self sustainable!
How did you get the rage dmg bonus and physical resistance while wearing armor? I thought that wearing armor nullifies the bonuses that rage gives you while using it?
Barb/Warlock multi is certainly possible. However, it would be best to focus on STR first, because it takes until level 8 (5 Barb 3 Warlock) to actually apply CHA to Hit & Damage, and I'd rather get the Barb levels first because Cleaves + Extra Attack is really good, besides Rage & Reckless Attack as well. So you can just respec STR into CHA as soon as you hit level 8. The build would actually end up with more Cleaves this way due to 3 Attacks/Action instead of just 2 with Barb/Warlock.
@@cRPGBroyeah the warlock goodies come on late. Although thinking vamipiric touch from warlock would be cool addition for roleplay as Astarion? Still have EB late game if needed for range.
@@stalelygrehoff2881 I'm playing right now and my Pally/Lock is still getting 3 attacks/action. I just did 263 damage to Sarevok with 4 swings (3 from action, 1 from bonus action)
It can work, as you have very stacked abilities even from early levels by virtue of being a Barbarian. You might prefer a race like Gnome for free Advantage on Mental/CC Saves, though.
@@Slugnacious Nuclear Tank, definitely! th-cam.com/video/Gnr-zizPcEw/w-d-xo.html I'd rather go full Cleric however as I don't think the extra + 4 AC from Swords Bard will matter much, it was just for min maxing AC.
Go with Shattered. You're playing Barb so Reckless Attacks will most likely be used meaning you'll get hit a ton anyways making the stacks harder to maintain. I think the heal from shattered will outpace the mitigation from Skin Burster. The healing is also more effective as you are taking half physical damage. If you are in Act 3, there's a greatsword that will likely be the replacement for Shattered so you could try out Skinburster until then.
@@cRPGBro Oh yeah, I love that build. Just wondering which one you thought was better over all. I like that this one can tank any type of damage, not just physical. Side note: level 7 Oath of the Ancients Paladin makes you almost immune to Spells (can just have one in the party, doesn't need to be a 5 Barb/7 Pal or anything).
I'll see what I can do! I think that is a lot easier on Wrath of the Righteous though due to Dhampir race and more classes with magical abilities + martial power at the same time.
Perhaps verifying and repairing the files from Steam could help? I was getting graphical glitches since Patch 4 but doing that fixed 2 files that were apparently corrupted.

The Build can still work just fine without Gear, you'd still have the very spammable AoE Cleaves, Reckless Stance for free Advantage, 50% phys resist from Rage and such.
