1. (Dr. Morris:) Maharishi, the press notes that each week you give all the credit for all the knowledge that you are bestowing upon the world to your master, Guru Dev. So the press is asking the question: from where did Guru Dev get the knowledge? They had understood from things that you have said and written that he was a recluse sage in the hidden forests of the Himalayas and central India. So how did he get all of that knowledge that he was then able to give to you and you have now given to the whole world?
2. Maharishi: I got the knowledge from my Guru Dev; my Guru Dev got the knowledge from his Guru Dev; he got the knowledge from his Guru Dev--all the knowledge descending down, generation after generation. That is why we give credit to the source of knowledge.
3. Total knowledge is in the unmanifest, in the transcendental reality. We want people to have authority over the unmanifest. The unmanifest is now discovered in terms of self-referral Unified Field. That, in Vedic terms, is Yoga and Vedanta.
4. The whole tree is found in its unmanifest state in the hollowness of the seed. We want to align ourselves with this unmanifest value, which we call Transcendental Consciousness.
5. What is the proof that our awareness is really awake on that level of the transcendental, self-referral Unified Field? The proof is in Yogic Flying. One thinks from the transcendent, and immediately the body lifts up. This is a proof that one is thinking on that level which is lively in the total potential of Natural Law.
6. This is the level of control over the force of gravity. The huge galactic universe is governed by the force of gravity, the force that unifies all the different values. The body lifting up by mere thought--to whatever extent, doesn't matter--proves that the thought has been promoted from that level which is the level of the force of gravity, the intelligence of gravity. This is Vedic education.
7. Vedic education is not employment oriented. Those who do not know what education can be, they make a very short hit on the ultimate reality of education, by saying, "Education should be employment oriented.".
8. Everyone born in this world should have Vedic education and gain command over total Natural Law. Have the hidden treasury of all infinity brought to the level of daily living.

about previous comment, below, some years later have come to my senses! the speaker is "crazy"!. must go buy some beer. I like being sober, but I don't feel up to it any more. Bevan Morris makes a very good point in his "intro" & I remember that day he drove by me in Payneham. Anyway I don't know how to fly.

So, bottom line, can you fly through the technique offered by TM? Is it true?
Refer to the statement of Fred Ulrich below: "Folks the claim of yogic flying and control over gravity is a hoax". Also, it wasn't taught by Guru Dev or transmitted to Maharishi. Charlie Lutes was highly critical of it (personal communication). Also, it's not taught in the Yoga Vasistha.

Folks the claim of yogic flying and control over gravity is a hoax. I spent 6 months in Switzerland in 1977 learning and practicing "yogic flying." The bottom line is I never controlled gravity and never saw anyone else control gravity. Instead, muscle spasm like convulstions produced physical bouncing that plainly follows gravity. There is no such thing as hovering above the ground. Other than that doing TM is great.
Can I give my view on possibility to control gravity. What happens to the body we should not be concerned. IMO control over gravity is possible maybe because gravity is not classical force but curvature in space-time continuum and akasha is term for that space-time in vedic language and consciousness is a basis of that and is called chit-akash . It can only begin to develop in the state of cosmic consciousness. In that state consciousness is experienced as separate from the body and maintains it uninvolvement with bodily processes. The impulse that causes body muscles to twitch and jump is because of the flying sutra creating that for a millisecond and than consciousness loses it uninvolved status so body only jumps .I hope we will wittiness hovering fenomenon in decades to come :) and this will mean that shift in collective consciousness has or is about to happen.
TM is great, Sidhi techniques also helped me a lot. The only problem is how they call this jumping like reaction of the body to it.
@@yaseminmanavbas5236 It's the traditional claim. MMY was extremely conservative in certain ways, and assuming that the commentaries about levitation practice are literally true is one of those ways.
Sometimes I wish I never was taught TM. That's because my life before was pretty good until that miracle happened, wine to water, and ever since then "all negative all bad" the darkest period this man has ever known.
