@@ovdeja I think it gives our grandkids a better future. Robots can focus on more repetitive and more laboring jobs. While us humans can focus on more on creative field. As doing jobs that are done by humans can really take a toll on people.
I hope Ameca robot stays as polite and kind-hearted as it looks.
She just has facial expression, someone else is controlling & speaking as her voice.

But honesly I don't worry about the films much. I rather worry about what happens when autonomous thinking machines find out how mankind has treated itself and its surrounding living beings so far.
Maybe the machines don't need films to get to "hate" us. Reality is horrible enough already. I can well imagine that even if they remain programmed not to eradicate us, they might consider mankind as "dangerous" without being controlled.
Then we could be one among those other creatures kept in zoos.

As impressive as Amica is right now, I think we will look back on videos like this a few years from now and smile at how primitive her expressions and abilities are in comparison to what they develop into as AI and robotics evolve.
As fascinating as this is, I find it truly terrifying. Imagine how brilliant these machines are, and they far surpass humans in strength, inteligence and memory abilities. They do not have a soul, and do not feel pain. We have been warned repeatedly from inteligent people who work with AI and know how these things progress. We are setting ourselves up for the Terminator literally ! If the Virus doesn't get us, these things will !

The audio output can be relayed by a human.
Sound can be translated by the lips to mimic familiar speech.
Artifical intelligent ai speech, like GPT3 would have to be implemented prior in order for it to be completely artifical.
The basic observations and the fluctuations in her voice are most definitely a humans: the observations and subtle dialog:
Also GPT3 is known for long and sometimes inconclusive conversations than simple "short talk" that can be made by someone in a studio room.
As for hand/facial gestures it can be a looped animation.
See how they asked for specific movements "give me five" yet they stare blankly.
I know she's a robot and programed with those expressions but she looks bored and nervous just like a child. I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind about. She looks so sentient.
Man: Have you seen Terminator?
Ameca: I have been asked that before. Should I be making sure I see it?

OMG WOW I can't believe it, it's becoming real and we're still 2022, it's very realistic especially with the very precise and detailed face gestures and even looking smarter than humans do! The future of robots and AI is coming sooner than ever!

Sorry to break it to you but that robot is being remotely controlled and spoken through by a person. AI technology is still decades away.

If there's one thing I like about this is that, if it learns from its experience, that would be good given that in these videos she encountered polite people asking if they can take a photo with her and saying thank you after doing so.
Notice again it processes trying to look at a face while looking at camera and quickly learns to change focus also when someone didn't ask to take photo but just walked up to take one you could see Ameca facial expression that seemed to express "they should not be doing this they should ask to take photo this is rude but it would be rude for me to say something impolite back"

POV: You are Ameca on a robotic exhibition stand talking to humans, they laugh, take pictures, interact with you amazed at how technology progressively advances. It's all charming and unbelievable at the same time, but they have no idea that behind her eyes moved by hundreds of engines, she understands everything, she knows the advances her creators intend for her, she knows how this technology will be in a few years available to those same people there, in their homes, offices, Ameca knows everything, what humans don't know, is that she hears... That she understands, and that soon, she will also feel...
I think creators of robots like Ameca will get around to making them 'emotionally' feel things. There's some extremely intelligent/clever people in this world when it comes to things like this. I mean, compare Ameca to the crappy robots from decades and decades ago. Ameca really is quite impressive indeed!
