Fun fact: I just recently found out that stravinsky composed and was influenced by ragtime and jazz (and debussy and satie and ravel were also influenced by ragtime and jazz most notably sousa and gershwin (id like it if u could do some gershwin no pressure of course) if u want to listen here are the links to some of stravinskys rags links: 1. Histoire du soldat this is a orchestral rag or march inspired by sousas orchestrations and this is his very first rag th-cam.com/video/MDHGBK4NWTw/w-d-xo.html 2. Ragtime for eleven instruments this was another one of his rags this time for a collection of different instruments th-cam.com/video/QLwqVJ-owtg/w-d-xo.html 3. Piano-rag-music another rag time composition this time for the Orthodox and correct instrument of piano th-cam.com/video/yE82a2YNyMM/w-d-xo.html all of these compositions make up a great deal of stravinskys ragtime interest contributions and repertoire and in his contributions the obscure underrated (and still is that way) at the time genre of ragtime and jazz all the way up to the minds of great revered classical composers and with the i conclude todays comment thank you
Nice work but it would sound better, more human, with subtle pedaling instead of the artificially long notes in the left hand (the tenths) and, the lh chords are so perfect it sounds robotic. All notes the same length, same velocity, and quantized on the quarter. Even the best real player wouldn't be that perfect. Maybe you don't want it sound to sound human, in which case it is perfect!
I always look forward to James P Johnson piano work
He was awesome
Must say I’m fascinated by this piece 😌
😂😂😂
Yes please🔥🔥
Nice alligator crawl riff at 2:04
never knew that riff had a name to it
I don't the riff itself has a name. It's just a wink to a Fats Waller piece called Alligator Crawl in which this riff has a very prominent role.
@@jacobzimmermann59That makes sense thank you
Sounds like fats waller to me

MIDI performances are the modern piano rolls, they have their own character and charm!
