If Amazon has a low tier internet package somewhere between $20 and $35 and lets the customer own their own equipment or the equipment is in the price then that would be a game changer for internet.

We spend so many of my days each month at a cabin in the boonies and a service that lets us get internet there is a real blessing for those evenings where we can stream tv. Hoping for an inexpensive solution for both home and away.

If you have a Verizon or T-Mobile cell tower close to the house, they have some very good home internet services. I use Verizon in my house, and T-Mobile in my semi. Verizon has a tower in my back yard, 1/2 mile away. $40 a month, real unlimited data, but capped at 50 mbps. T-Mobile can get speeds up to 800 mbps, but will not work at the house due to terrain and tower distances. That too is $40 a month, unlimited data.

Thats the cost for living in a rural area. Fedex and UPS are working out new shipping rates to charge surcharges for homeowners living in a rural areas. Water districts are also drastically increasing water rates for rural houses especially if you live in the mid west where water wells are going dry left and right. Hate to break it to you, but living in rural housing is going to become unaffordable.

The competition is welcome. Innovation and investment in infrastructure have languished for decades in many areas where cable companies have been able to charge whatever they want for the same coax wires they installed in the 1990s.

With 2 defunct discs already on my roof, i would appreciate a service that allows utilization of them.
Point # 2-Amazon does a fair job on their existing businesses, so i would hope that they will carry over their business model into the new line.
Having said that, I REALLY hate that more space trash is going up.😢

You do realize this will be just like Starlink. I get 100 times better service with Starlink than any competitor service that uses high altitude orbits. I couldn't stream one show without buffering 20 times in an 1/2 hour before on ViaSat.

It was meant to get people on the internet, which it did. You also have to realize that satellites use ancient technology because of all the testing required to survive in space. The low orbit sats get the benifit of earths shielding still

NO !NO ! Along with this EV industry and the very fast moving Electrification that is taking place, power will go up because everyone will be on it, corporation have a Union and they will charge what they what as a industry, the same with the internet the price will be cheap as it was but they get us hooked and no way to get out endless one just drops out
