Damn, it's crazy at how it seems like Steve Kerr has been in the right spot at the right time as a player and as a coach! 5 rings as a player, so far 3 rings as a coach! Played on the then record 72-10 Chicago Bulls team, only to break the record by going 73-9 as head coach of the Golden State Warriors! That's an impressive resume in my book!
@Patrick Morgan I guess history is an excuse to continue racial commentary with perpetuity? Why is it tolerable to speak derogitorily when the subject of a comment is to be a white man, but suddenly I'm perpetuating a false narrative if I switch the subject's ethnicity to a black man. Uh nah bro, double standards dont fly. Kick rocks with your ignorant position on this subject

Steve Kerr “made it work”? Nah. Steph, Klay, Draymond, KD, Iggy and the Warriors’ bench made it work. If you picked someone at random from the stands to coach those teams, the results would’ve been the same.
Man, it's crazy how Kerr just continues to surprise me with his demeanor and persona. I've always been a fan of him, but at the very end when he started talking about James Baldwin, that just blew me away. Baldwin has got to be the biggest inspiration for why I'm doing the work I'm doing now and to hear Kerr promote his work and show love just makes me love the dude even more. Baldwin had such a unique perspective on the Civil Rights era and really doesn't get enough recognition for his brilliance and influence. We need more people like him and like Kerr in the world. Much love
Barnes, I always thought, was one of the most underrated teammates. He was a key member of that "We Believe" Warriors team and when he left, they were never the same. Then, he was on that Orlando finals team and they weren't the same after he left. Then, on that Clippers team he went to, that was one of the better teams they've ever had with the starters hardly ever playing in the entire 4th quarter. Really helped every team he was on and could fit any team, too, as he'd take the dirty work but still be really productive on offense. One of those perfect role players. Took a couple years to start making an impact out of UCLA but seemed to really get going with Don Nelson knowing how to use him.
Can we get Latrell Sprewell on here . Y’all could talk about the PJ Carlesimo incident , Michael Jordan agreeing with his suspension, Iverson idolizing him and thoughts on James Dolan

ABSOLUTELY LOVE the story about you and your boys 💖
Damn, it's crazy at how it seems like Steve Kerr has been in the right spot at the right time as a player and as a coach! 5 rings as a player, so far 3 rings as a coach! Played on the then record 72-10 Chicago Bulls team, only to break the record by going 73-9 as head coach of the Golden State Warriors! That's an impressive resume in my book!
Facts
Don't forget blowing 3-1 to Lebron
Kerr gotta have the whitest white man laugh I ever heard. He literally said “Ahahaha”
😂😂😂😂
How bout I say "Matt Barnes has the blackest black man laugh I ever heard" ahahahhha. Funny right?
@Patrick Morgan I guess history is an excuse to continue racial commentary with perpetuity? Why is it tolerable to speak derogitorily when the subject of a comment is to be a white man, but suddenly I'm perpetuating a false narrative if I switch the subject's ethnicity to a black man. Uh nah bro, double standards dont fly. Kick rocks with your ignorant position on this subject
@Patrick Morgan Being shot by the police? That's your biggest worry?
@Patrick Morgan My very first comment was blatant sarcasm. Unfortunately your small mind couldn't see it. I was mocking his original comment, I illustrated it by saying "what if I said". How could a person of intelligence miss that. And I'm the idiot? Lol come on now... wise up brother (no pun)
We need Shaq, Hakeem, Reggie Miller, and Phil Jackson on the pod. Would be cool to see tom brady or belichek. Maybe redman, wu-tang, or wiz. My go to podcast. Thanks Matt, Stack and Showtime. Keep up the great work.......
Showtime....... You all need to make a show with all the Malice at the Palace participants.
I love this podcast so much
makes my Thursday nights
keep doing your thing matt and jack
These interviews keep getting better and better. Especially with a blunt in hand. Keep up the amazing work Matt and Stack!!!
This is such a great interview.
Matt amazing job as a former player/journalist asking all the right questions worded and presented so succinctly and meaningfully. Well done. Steve is obviously a class act and deserves the successes he’s had in basketball and life. Nice fam stories too. Good luck with your team and the twins future going forward.
My favorite podcast ever!!!
Much respect Mr.Barnes, and Mr.Jackson love how real this is rather smoking or really just getting straight to it with the real question an no filter. Peace Kings Inspiring more than you know
51:30 to go for the full story
54:27 Matt Barnes earns more of my respect. You hear it in voice. What an amazing moment that must've been for all the family members
Big Up to Steve Kerr with his responses to the questions from Matt Barnes.Matt Barnes, you have found your staple post NBA career. I am very proud of you. Keep up the great work and continue to inspire the next generation of athletes.
I wish we had Stack for this one. I know he woulda told you all of his stats from that 03 Spurs chip. Him and Kerr would be breaking down that comeback. Love hearing dogs talk about a fight, and I know he would have ripped Parker to shreds for having to bail him out.
As I've always stated to you Matt Barnes, your mind remind me of Nipsey Hussle. The manner in which you are thoughtful and you don't speak just to hear words come out of your mouth. I salute you brother and my brother stack. You guys are the dopest show right now, it's no wonder when Charlemagne got his new show he would try to pull you guys. And I know you thought about it hard so the contract is in your favor I'm sure! Congratulations
All the Smoke podcast 🔥🐐
This was such good podcast. Matt is a pro at this already and both Matt and Steve are so well spoken
Let’s support Matt holding it down while Stak is out
Shit Matt is the real star.
@@Michigan_dad stak dosnt even speak unless he's asking for handouts from the guests lmao
Where’s stak??
Why is he out?
@CheeseBall and that sucks he can do much more if he planned it more. He doesn’t seem like the type to make an itinerary
Love the talk on grief and death.. Its what we all share as humans and we speak so little about.. Im about to lose my mom and be an orphan at 38.. Its hard but its what was dealt to me.. 🙏🙏to those who have lost a loved one.. All i recommend for grief is to do nothing.. It has no instructions and knows no 🕙..
im sorry to hear that. spend as much time as you can.
Black wall street!!! Thanks Steve
Matt is one of the best interview out there, it comes so natural that even if it is rehearsed, men he is killing it
"I'ma tell yall something I never told nobody ...I WANT ALL THE SMOKE" 💯💯💯💯 Aha they snapped with the primetime/Errol Spence mix ‼️
Matt holding strong while stack doing his thing... props man all the smoke is the best podcast out!!
Doesnt get the credit he deserves...stepped into a great situation with great players and has never been given his due for making it all work
This man has had EVERY postion in the NBA hes been a Starter, Bench Player, GM, Assistant GM, Head Of Bastketball Operations, Assistant Coach Hes a winner 4 times over has played with some of the greatest players in this league under some of the greatest coaches that have ever coached in this league Ultimate Swiss Army knife
You just hating if you dont think hes anything less the Championship Coach that he is
Mark Jackson build and drafted Stef and Klay that shit was planned cuz Mark Jack ain't kiss ass what would they say if Mark was still coach and won? I'll wait!!!! All Sports I RepAll Sports Are Rigged Point Blank Period 💯
@@heem1784 They would say the same things that they say about Steve Kerr lol Steve had other options im sure he would have been successful in any situation he was put in doesnt take away from his or Marks greatness
@@BostonBori92 I have nothing 2 say about Kerr as a player nothing 2 say about his coaching but that team was build by who? Ok they add KD WITH I THINK PUNK OUT CUZ HE COULD'VE GIT A RING WITH WITH MULTIPLE OF TEAMS THE BOY GOOD BUT THAT WAS A PUNK MOVE THEY BROUGHT IGGY WHICH GOT 1ST MVP BRO I COULD GO ON AND ON BUT I KNOW BETTER THEY PUT STEVE IN AS A FACE
@@heem1784 Regardless of who built the team hes the one that put it together and made it work and regardless of what players are on the team you still gotta go out there and play nothing is given to you him and that team earned everything they have
Steve Kerr “made it work”?
Much love
Get Michael Cooper, I would love to here real stories about the Showtime Lakers. I know he won't sugar coat lol
Did you know he has a podcast called the Showtime podcast? I discovered it recently on Spotify
Cedric Maxwell also have a podcast. Rasheed & Bonzi have Let's get Technical podcast
Good interview, Matt! Steve Kerr has always come across as a good dude for as long as I have seen him in the media and coaching in GS.
Whoever 👎🏾 this and it's only released a min ago is a pure hater
more like pure garbage
Thats how it is in general, it’s not just here. Every video gets dislikes within the first few seconds without people even watching.
😂 who cares about sprewell
I just realized how intelligent matt barnes and steve kerr are. This interview is so inspiring and enlightening. Matt is a very good and eloquent interviewer.
You can tell Matt prepares. Charlemagne been doing interviews for 10, 15 years and isnt half as good
Charlamange does and says things for reactions and ratings but he is great at what he does too. I prefer Matt Barnes (oxymoron) I know
@@terrancehamilton6866 hes great at being a radio personality.. not a great interviewer thas a fact. I been watching breakfast club closely for 10 years...he asks questions that the guests have already answered..hes not an active listener...hes rarely prepared for his interviews. He asks the artist silly questions that casual fans already have the answer to..
@@tenfold4025 he’s good at interviews with people that he likes
@@hiitsme3039 Which is unprofessional
One's a pro, the other is a narcissistic clown. What kind of narcissistic clown call himself tha God and name himself after the famous French king?
This is the best podcast show period
Get Patrick Ewing on here !!
He's been on the knuckleheads
Great interview. Takes me back to a different period of time in my journey. One I greatly miss. Matt I see your depth. Great job King.
Get Dirk on here, I'd love to watch that! Greetings from Germany! 🇩🇪
Matt and stack might just talk shit to him all the time about we believe warriors lol
@@ericzamudio2905 I'm sure Dirk could laugh about that 😊
Great job Matt! You have a bright future in this realm. Love this show.

Wow. That was thoroughly enjoyable. Mad respect to Steve Kerr.
