As always, enjoyed the view thru your eyes. Very nice to see that there is a little water left in the mountains. So I guess we can call this a "cliffhanger", holding on for part two.
I lost my huge army bandana at Dobs a long time ago, well three years ago... Silver bullet... I love Werewolf killers, especially on a hot day. Say hi to Carl for me! Great adventure, on to the next one.
Fun Fun Fun...You scared the crap out of me when you fell. Those pools were beautiful, as was the rest of all the sights and sounds...on to part two ---------------------->
wow I havnt hiked up in those mountains in almost 20 years. the last time I did we started up middle fork road in lytle creek. got dropped off at the trail head. only spend a few days up there. we did catch about 5 trout and ate em for breakfast... here before winter sets in, were going to go up in the sierras. theres an old mining camp up there that's not on any maps. the cabins are still there with all the old stoves still in place. it will be fun...
+DAN THMAN these falls are an hours drive south east of lyttle creeks middle fork but thats another great place. Ive slept all over that range for about 30 years now
Late but here!!! Hope you had a awesome time my people (Tribal)if time allows maybe I can ride my Harley up to your area and we can do a day journey in some Socal mountains. Maybe some stream fishing. But you said "yard bird" that brought back memories of a long stretch. In the last 5 years I went camping once El capitan Santa Barbara area it was great but I'm due for another excursion. Anyhowz Aloha&Mahalo Duke.🏄 Stay safe.
Duke Palk sure anytime you're up this way just give me a week or two notice I'll set something up. Ask for Yardbird I got this from this guy named dentist who lived back east he contracted on was working at McDonald Douglas with me for quite a few years and we play this game that he introduced us to add cards called tonk and the microwaves are close by and whenever somebody was cooking chicken he would always say I smell me some yard bird and it kind of stuck now whenever I think of quail or chicken I think Yardbird it's kind of neat how others have an influence in your life and it sticks with you the rest of your life although you may have only known them 3 or 4 years
Awesome my brother your definetly #1 IN SOCAL as a bush crafter and trail man, I always make room for learning new things especially off the grid skills. Aloha&Mahalo Duke

Hi I would like to go pack packing to San Bernardino in mid march. How would the weather conditions be then and would a permit be required?
water everywhere. permit rqured in many areas. free at local ranger stations. problem is, they dont open till about 7am on average.
You need a permit to go backpacking? How can I go for free? How much is the parking cost?
Where exactly is this at? I live in hesperia near silver wood..!i planning a trip real soon
+lifeisinfinite it tells first 6 words. gorgonio. on the map

+Alfonso Casillas not sure, t/h/ to camp is about 6 miles but we took many other side trails, game trails, visited another camp, then a few miles down river, manybe 20 or so round trip
The bug was probably one of those cockroach relatives. Over here in Arizona there is a place they call Big Bug Creek.

Are you sure sasquatch didn't trip you?
+Wakis85 he may have had trip lines set
Maybe it was a scorpion because a potato bug wouldn't move that fast.
+Kevin P it didnt move fast, I flung its hard crusty body with a quick slap of my hand, too big and bulky to be a scorp
OK, where is part two?? LOL I so enjoyed your video, and I think I had about as much fun as you did! Thanks for sharing this. Peace from Nova Scotia
