As Ray says, one of the best I have seen, great thought and detail. No thrumming sound from ballasted track/underlay. Is it cork/foam and pva or latex glue? I'm planning 30ft loft railway.
Hi David. Thanks for the comment. I have laid the track on cork and used normal diluted PVA. I buy the cork in 90 ft roll x 1.5 inch x 8th thickness. If you need the supplier let me know. Mick
Thank-you Mick. I used cork last time but after reading forums favouring foam and latex, no pins/screws for reduced noise, but your pva ballast seems quiet. Maybe the "diluted" part is key. Thank-you for supplier, I will contact them.
Hi Dave your welcome. I will admit that one person did mention the rumble sound when I made a video but I was not aware it made a distraction. Not bad only one from the amount of views. Hope you get on well with the cork, let me know. Mick@@DavidSmith-gf5qe
Hi John. I don't buy hardly any Hornby these days I think they are charging to much and I don't like the railroad range, it's not good enough but saying that in the past I have purchased 2 loco's. The P2 cock of the north and the 9F with the Franco Costi boiler but only because they did not do a detail verson. Thanks for asking. All the best. Mick
