I would've never thought Moonsong could work paired with Last Battle, but this is amazing. Especially when the Last Battle section starts going crazy. You are like a music wizard, thank you for doing justice to my two favorite songs in Cave Story.
tysm!!! they are my favorite songs too. i one day had moonsong stuck in my head, then realized that the 'stair-notes-left-and-right-panning' motif from last battle weirdly fits in moonsong. from there it evolved to me making this. plus, i think this kinda works symbolically; moonsong is the last song heard before getting the bad ending (which is why its motif is in that section) and last battle is.. well, the last battle of the game, if you decide to push onward. i see it like this:
do you decide to give it all up? (moonsong) or will you proceed? (last battle)
