I loved that twilight group dance, I find the full version even better. The thing that annoys me about to crown situation is yes producers or Abby or both probably asked Melissa to bring them but I find it hard to understand why she can't put her foot down and say NO. All the other moms have refused things knowing it would have consequences and yes sadly Abby would get angry at her but it's not the end of the world in comparison to making the girls feel bad about themselves. I appreciate her going in to tell them bc that's the least she could have done. Melissa hardly ever put her foot down as the mother and it aggravates me so much. Abby basically controlled and groomed Maddie bc at the end of the day Melissa let it happen.

Maddie was cast in Drop Dead Diva to play the younger version of one of the leads: a blonde woman, who looks a lot like Paige. The episode is honestly very confusing because of how different Maddie looks from the woman playing the adult version.
The casting for Drop Dead Diva was most definitely 💯 rigged because no casting Director whose intention to cast a young actor to play a child version of a blonde blue-eyed model. Would cast Maddie a brunette. Who’s head shape, eye shape and physique looks nothing like the adult actor that plays Deb. If the casting was being fair and they wanted to give it to a dance mom‘s girl, Paige was the only option. Paige is the one with the model aesthetic. Making her the ideal choice to play a young blonde model, She has the lower set hips and long legs. 🦵 Paige has the resemblance to the actress that plays Deb. The facial structure, the hair color, the fun perky blondness, the physique she’s tall . Paige even has Deb’s haircut 💇🏼♀️. Paige would’ve been the perfect Deb. Maddie just took you out of the story because she looks nothing like Deb. And it’s not the least bit plausible that she could’ve grown up to be Deb. Having Maddie play Young Deb was weird. Because she legit look like a whole different human. Maddie didn’t do anything hard choreography wise that Paige couldn’t do. It was simple, easy baby choreography. The choreography was just Maddie skipping around for a bit. Did a fan kick to a tilt and fell down. That’s all the dancing she did.

If they were so insistent of Maddie being in it, she could’ve been in it, but she didn’t have to play Deb because it made no sense. She could’ve been the dancer that Deb was competing against. It’s sickening that Paige was denied this opportunity. Down to the freaking color palette Deb is a summer🌼, a detail the shows saw necessary to highlight. Paige is a summer 🌼coloring. The only other blonde there Chloe is a spring 🌸. Everything always getting rigged in Maddie‘s favor even when it makes no sense is just irritating. 😠 Abby‘s unhealthy obsession with Maddie. Rigging the whole world so it’s Maddie over everyone. Only Maddie gets to shine ✨ only Maddie gets to matter. If Abby cared about any of her other students, she would’ve had them put multiple or even all of her dancers in there. Make a storyline that makes sense for all of them to be there. They could just be there as background dancers and Paige could be the lead. Brooke could’ve played Jane. She’s older and she’s a winter ❄️ coloring like Jane. They kinda look alike. The reactions to stomach aches on this show (and the reboot tbh) highlight the complete disregard for the mental health of these kids in my opinion. If a child in this sort of situation is telling me their stomach hurts, especially all of a sudden, my immediate thought is that they're struggling with some anxiety but don't have the words to put it that way. They just know their stomach hurts. Yet the adults around them just get angry at them for being "dramatic".
When the parents tell them to stop crying/stop behaving like that, it's usually because they're aware the cameras are on them and therefore they don't want their child to embarrass themselves in front of the cameras. It may come across as mean, but Christi and Kelly have spoken about this at length that they made sure their children understood they weren't doing it to be mean, but to protect them from being exposed in that situation in front of the cameras. As for Abby, she's just nasty
@@myenragedrants yeah I get that, I just don't think they see the complaints about stomach aches as the giant red flag that they are to me, especially with kids like kendall who i'm pretty sure has said that she has/does struggle with anxiety. It's something that could have been addressed off-camera (ideally these girls should have all been in therapy or had access to some sort of counselor during shooting) but it just doesn't seem like mental health was talked about as much as it should have been for children in this sort of high pressure situation

It’s one of my favourites as well! “Working girl” on the other hand … I just can’t… I watched a TH-cam video the other day of Melissa picking her two favourite solos for each of the OG girls and she picked Working Girl as one of Nia’s, my jaw hit the floor! In my book it doesn’t even qualify as a dance (that’s no shade to Nia she did what she could with that horrible choreography) The crown thing breaks my heart. While I do think Melissa did her best by making sure the other girls knew it didn’t come from Maddie, I also feel sad for Maddie because, had it been another girl their mom would’ve fought tooth and nail for it not to even be a storyline, but Melissa never did that for Maddie (at least not during the seasons I’ve seen)

But now all of a sudden its trendy amd cool🙄while a lot of us had to grow to love our hairstyles and work through that trauma and insecurities of whats beautiful and whats not
The fact that Abby has stans is so, SO baffling to me. I just watched someone else reacting to a later episode (S3E23) and Abby does something SO appalling in that ep. I commented about it and almost immediately had one of her stans in my replies claiming she didn’t do that and it was actually something else. (Trying not to spoil!) I just couldn’t believe she has people defending her, and even the thing the stan was claiming she did was terrible too! Mad.

Honestly the worst part about your assumption that Maddie booking the part would be believable if it wasn’t for the network being the same is you’d actually be wrong. Though that’s 1000% the case here Abby also just wouldn’t let Maddie not get it. It may be bts spoilers so won’t go into detail but Abby’s obsession with Maddie’s success went beyond the show. And I truly think that becoming clear this season is why there’s such a dark shift. During rewatches Abby’s behavior and demanding of everyone playing along starts to make me feel fr insane and it’s so crazy how many people don’t know that for everyone but Maddie she was crueling destroying their talent, passion, and career. It’s always crazy to me she’d want to break down children to this reality for her obsession with one kid like I do wish stuff like that was just the producers.
