    A great review. I had the mk1 model as my first car. Was a fantastic little car fun little engine. surprisingly capable on the motorway. Even doing 30k miles a year for 3 years it.never skipped a beat.

    Passed my test recently and decided to go for this as my first car can't wait picking it up on Saturday. I managed to find a white AYGO X-pression with the alloys for £6700 with 9k miles in mint condition. I have opted for the PCP deal £98 with a £1k deposit but do have to pay at the end of the contract £2700.
    Good job on the video you covered everything. 👍

      what one will always think with a Toyota of course But how Toyota is? its made in the Check republic in the same factory the Peugeot 108 n Citroen C1 is sharing the same engine gearbox, n possibly lots more parts too had 2 Peugeots n where reliable n fun, Citroen i never had its Not known for been the most reliable also its on insurance group 5 plus But why such a high insurance group specially with bolt on panels? is this for all 3 or just Toyota?

    What do you think of automatic gearbox in that model

    pity there is no telescopic adjustment. Your arms are quite extended holding the steering wheel.

      Hi, thats the way I drive, i think there is adjustment

      Every Toyota I've ever driven suffers from this same phenomenon. Great, dependable cars, incredibly annoying drawback.

    Thanks for the review - you touched on some good points. How was the quality of the speakers? I’ve read around that they sound tinny and poor?

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      as far as i remember they were pretty good, of course the faster you go the nosier the Cabin gets, and the tinnier the speakers sound

    • @maxinesmith3801

      The first generation was very tinny. But the 2nd gen is very different. Not at all tinny.

    I assume it's more expensive than the old one (2006-2014)

    It's quite big in the inside however from the outside they made it look small.

    i had both a ka, like you drove in another video and i have an aygo now, aygo suited me a bit more, but i cant knock the ka though, aygo suits my driving i didnt like the slightly sporty feel of the ka and gearing, and the door handle got me right in the side of the knee,!

      Its not the best motorway car, but its as good if not better than any if the other small cars, occasional motorway use its fine, every day I’m not so sure

    i have a pupil that has this car and does anyone find the gas pedal is way to sensitive as seems like you just touch the gas pedal and it revs so high. i got a few cars petrol and diesel and none are like this.

      Way too late on this reply. I actually just bought one today and I think the issue is that the clutch is very high and there's a lot of travel in there also, soon as they get the bite point right they should be golden.

    What's your opinion on pcp v hire purchase?

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      PCP is great for getting a car that you cant really afford :-) I worry that with the slowing down of New car sales that residual values will be affected and that when people get to the end of their contracts they will have no equity in the vehicle to go towards a deposit for another vehicle, that being said if you just take the view that you are renting the car then it is a good option.
      However a PCP over 36 months is pretty much the same as taking a car on HP over 60 Months, after 36 months you owe round about the same amount, however with HP you have the option to part ex, settle the agreement or keep on paying your monthly payments until it is beneficial for you, PCP at month 36, you have to pay the Guaranteed Future Value, or hand the vehicle back (then get stung by the finance company for any dents, scuffs, windscreen chips, tyres, alloy wheel kerbing, and even as has just happened to one of our customers, her car had done 10,000 miles less than the agreement and was pretty mint, but when they checked it they estimated that she would get a further bill which was broken down as £70 to respray the drivers inner sill where her heel catches as she gets in and out of the car, this wasn't scratched it was rubber of her shoe and would have wiped of with a t cut rag, £45 to refurbish an alloy wheel (1 inch mark right on very edge of the rim, and £150 to respray the bumper, small mark, rip off!!!!!!

    • @tg9898
      @tg9898 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pcp are an absolute RIP off, dont ever do it. It wasn't sold to me properly and I've been crippled with it. Nowhere on my paperwork is pcp mentioned, it says hire purchase all the way thru you they are trying to hold me to a pcp. I'm going legal against ths company

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear that but if it is pcp you should be able to hand the car back at the end of the agreement, or refinance it (properly) or even sell it to a dealer or px it if the car is worth more than you owe on it

    • @tg9898
      @tg9898 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BarrieCrampton . I can hand it back legally in a couple of months with no penalty, the finance company has to give me my voluntary termination date, they dont want to do this and keep it quiet, but I've been told this, so the car, which isn't an aygo, is going back. It's been like an expensively renting a car . Never again. My contract doesn't mention PCP at all so I'm legally not tied to it, I've taken advice
