Hello Rob! Thanks for the vidéo… I Will be using this public footpath next month and i have few questions : how long does it takes to do the path (from main gate to the end of the Forest) ? How are the castle views : better at the beggining of the Path or next to the chapel ? Where is the exit of the path exactly before the village ? Thanks for your help :)
@laurentpeleau8702 Hi Laurent. Main gate to the end of the forest (village road) probably around an hour (difficult for me to judge as when I'm filming I take ages 😁) The best view of the castle is early on (title pic) The path exits onto the road literally on the edge of the village. I don't know if you're visiting or local but if you visit in the peak summer months they open up a lot more paths on the estate which is a lot nicer walk than the main road trudge . Enjoy.
@@RobsHampshirePubWalks staying in Portsmouth for 2 days only and 1 Will be dédicated to Downton Abbey filming location. I specially rent a car with private driver so each minutes count 😅 i would like him to drop us at the main gate and pick us up at the end of the path that’s Why I wanted to know where exactly is the end to give him the direction. If 1h is ok to do the path then it Will be fine … because if it was more than 1h30 or 2h it Will be complicated with my day organization 😂
@laurentpeleau8702 Hi Laurent you should be OK with that time frame for the walk. Enjoy and perhaps after your break you can watch Howard's Way and come back for those locations 🙂

My friend & I did part of this walk today. Had lunch at the pub. How did you know that Eisenhower had stayed there? The landlady didn't know that.
