The white fabric with pink motif is some “toile de Jouy” (cloth from Jouy). A type of fabric and scenery pattern originally from France and really popular in the 18th century. Great catch to make a corset.
I love the striped shirt you got! It totally reminds me of something Helena Bonham Carter would have worn in one of her period movies. It has a whimsical turn of the century feel to it! Love that for you!!! It’s goth meets 1800s lol!
I love the last 2 pieces you showed (I want to call them flower plaques)... I would so have them in my new apartment if I found them in a local store! I would have picked up the black velvet vest if it was my size or a bit large on me and the pyramid dresses in 3x which are Vic's size. Right now I'm using laundry money to replace the stolen english fine bone china tableware (bowls, cups, plates, and saucers,) that the moving van thieves got from our move in 2023. I picked up an eartheware teapot covered in the "Fruitful Bounty" print at the Red White & Blue Thrift Store (it benefits veterans) in Milwaukie OR for $2.99.
I've found myself saying "it's cute, but do I really need it? Do I have somewhere to put it? No? Then put it back." LOL but I'd say everything you found is something I would bring home too. 😸

I also adore the Cicely Mary Barker fairies! My mom bought every book she could find of them and I would look through them all the time as a young teen. The forget-me-not fairy is my favorite (they're my favorite flowers and I look vaguely like her) so I would probably cry if someone gave me that mug. I also have a lily of the valley figurine that I need to put out somewhere. Very good finds all around!

The striped button-up was a great find, very burton-esque. I also love the Cicely Mary Barker flower fairies, especially the one with my name. The brocade blazer also looked like it would have been so good if it had been the right size.
Yeah the blazer tricked me because it looked like it was my size in the hanger lol. The fabric was so goooood!

I hate that I discovered you after I left Sacramento. So many cool new spots I could have visited! I used to go to Boheme in Davis a lot. A little pricy, but you can find some cool stuff on the $1 rack. They also have a cool Goodwill.

Strangely enough, the Dollar Tree has self adhesive liner paper that has a very similar design as your red and white material, however it's in black and white instead. 🤔
In case you care, for future, shirring is pronounced the same as shearing. I love the Toile de Jouy fabric you got and the Flower Fairy plate too, of course ❤

The fabric is adorable and yard and half for $5 is amazing canvas thicker fabric was probably $15-20 yard if not more. I have a adorable butterfly thicker material was close to $40/yard

That’s a great deal for that fabric! If you went to Joann’s, they probably wouldn’t have that print, and for canvas it’s like 12.99 a yard
I drove a couple hours to visit my sister who is at Sac State and we hit probably 10 stores in a day 😮💨 Found some cute things, especially at Fabulous Finds 🙌 Found the cutest hobbit basket at Desert Industries, but didn’t stay long because we went on a weekend and I was overstimulated AF with people rummaging through the silverware and then a child playing the piano (really well) against the store music the entire time 😅 Also LOVE the striped top, very Katrina Van Tassel.

I sat down to watch and was immediately catted. 😂 Velvet is probably one of my absolute favorite textures ever, so it's probably no surprise what my favorite piece you picked up is.... the purple corduroy jacket. 😂😂😂 (I love purple and corduroy, too, so it's really hard to choose just one favorite from your haul.)

That toile fabric is what I did my bedroom in and it’s from waverly it’s NOT cheap- quiet jealous that you found it and that you only found it for 5 dollars (pretty sure I was spending 35+ a yard and that was years ago). Toile is timeless. The boots are great for Halloween (witches display- fill with tissue) - tie an orange bow around them, set next to broom etc. and I thought the grandma sweater looks really cute- you can’t look like a grandma when your not one.
$5 for a yard and half of fabric is a great deal! I just had to buy some denim to make a skirt and the fabric was $15 a yard. Fabric is expensive!
When you said at minute 4:07 that "I'll look like a crazy person" haha that's what I always think when I'm putting together outfits! I.e. "I gotta tone this down - I'll look like a crazy person!" Struggle is realllll!

My friend and I went to our fave thrift store on Thursday and I didn't get the cutest little knit baby sweater/dress and by the time I got home I regetted not buying it. I was in that area today so I stopped in and bought it--and today was 25% off all clothes day so yay me!

Girl, you were in my neighborhood at Weave! I live in the Arden area.
Not sure if you knew this but Deseret Industries is run by the LDS church. I live in Utah for grad school and it's the main thrift store around here. Unfortunately they are profoundly anti-LGBTQ among other things. Just didn't know if you were aware!
Wow so local! I think I know where that weave is, never went in or had much luck at arden thrift stores myself but was near where I used to live when I was in arden.

We nearly or could have met up in the wild, ( depending on actual day) but ended up not going in to Discovery ( tho they are a bit pricey now, so don't go as often) ... I also thought about going to Fab Finds ...but I just was there lol ... oh and their charity is a woman's charity is indeed a children's charity. Love shopping there despite raising prices, I always find too much . YES you should have grabbed velvet vest, I would have bought from you lol... now I need to go to Deseret cause saw a few things in your video that would work with my 70s esthetic ... you might get me in trouble!
I love the Pyramid catalog! I have things from there since I was a teen in the 90s and they are of quality still.
As soon as you showed the stripe top I thought “that would look great with a black corset over it! Great minds. Also the pink thing you thought was a PJ top I think it was a bed jacket. You would wear them over your nightie in bed before retiring or in the morning when your honey brings you breakfast in bed. My fav item was actually that black top with puffed sleeves.

Ceciily Mary BARKER is my very favorite she has a very interesting story she was an 9:21 amazing woman I worked in a gift shop that carried quite a few of her fairies and I bought as many as I could I got a 30% discount cuz I worked there✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

lol yup. The whole knick knack section was just Jesus, tiny scale models of Mormon temples and some framed portraits of men whom I’m assuming are their leaders (prophets?)

It’s from KnockThrice on Instagram. It’s a small business and they do their drops in batches but this one gets restocked every few months so they may have it! There is also a mushroom forager version that is so cute. Been meaning to get it.

Aw yes, the Hell that being a lover of velvet but living somewhere the temps are in excess of 95 degrees 6 months out the year is very real. All my favorite clothing items are only suitable during the year end holidays :(

Pyramid Collection has a lot of cute stuff but they aren't affordably priced especially if you need to return/exchange anything. You are responsible for the postage on returns. But they also have regular clearance sales with things marked down 20-60% off. I miss their annual Halloween catalog :(
I feel that deep in my soul. The summers where I live are both hot and long and I need to go somewhere cooler (but not so cold I freeze my toes off). Also loving velvet but having cuddly animals and needing to lint roll it every 3-4 minutes because haiiir everywhere 😂 and it sticks to velvet like it’s magnetism.
