Mines been disconnected for a few years. Now I’ve seen your video I should go to bmw to get the replacement part. My original switch is the same part number as your old switch
@JP-zo4nr It would have been so easy to leave it disconnected, so I totally understand why you did. If you are able to get the part, it's worth replacing it if you want to. 👍🏽

Hey man, sounds like you already have a cool collection there. The Mk4 is a great little car and you can buy a load of second hand parts to keep the cost down but get the performance and look that you want. I think people are beginning to appreciate them more but unfortunately people also overvalue their cars online with silly prices. If you find a decent priced one, then I would say go for it. Glad you enjoyed the video
I'm not 100% sure because it seems I have an intermittent problem with one of the windows. My alarm went off one night, as I approached the car I realised that the window was going up and down by itself. If you are familiar with the coupe, the window drops to allow you to open and close the door, then it raises back into position. It was bouncing up and down about half an inch, so I think the door switch is faulty.
Quick and easy job, hope it fixes it! If there was nothing going on with it disconnected, then it sounds like this should fix it.

I am not too sure. Maybe you could try changing the battery in the key but it doesn't explain the lights not flashing.
