Ong I've found that analyzing people in situations where you might feel awkward holding full eye contact both helps to keep your mind off it and also could make an otherwise very confident person feel like they are being judged in a sense. A good balance for me is analyzing someone for about a minute of conversation and then switching over to a rotation about every 5 seconds from eyes, forehead, ears and mouth. It's funny tho, because if you look down- but at the persons body, instead of appearing intimidated, you can appear the opposite; as if you are sizing them up or even checking them out 😉
