- StampyLongHead AKA StampyLongNose is a long time TH-camr who popped hard in the early 2010s, only to gradually lose viewers over time. This video will take a nostalgic trip down memory lane, beginning in 2006, so we can answer the question - How did Stampy go from getting 10 million views in the 2010s to 50k views in recent times?

true. he introduced me to Minecraft you can say one of his vids was my first ever look at Minecraft and I got addicted, but I was 7 when I found him now I am 15 he just made my childhood and his channel didn't die, we just grew up or let's say he grew us up he was in my recommendation on youtube all the time but humans grow and they change a lot..
I was an angsty teenager during the peak of Stampy but my younger sister absolutely loved his content, I use to be unfair (as any teenage brother is) to what she watched but Stampy was the one content creator I "approved" of at the time lol, much respect for him.

Yep same with me, my youngest brother loved him. I was able to see a video and approved of it for him too. Crazy how people have nostalgia for this guy now, I was a bit too old for it. I grew up watching yogscast instead.

Sunny does have a bit of problem where he claims that someone’s downfall happened when they either do everything they wanted to do and retire or just continue doing what they love with although having it be a bit less popular.

Stampy is one of the few TH-camrs I know who made child-friendly content without being...too friendly toward said children. He's an absolute role model and a pillar of light in many people's childhoods.

i think hes the only minecraft youtuber that wasnt problematic. even with l for lee, he handled it really well and did a really good job to tell others why he left
Well, Stampy did lie about one part of the L for Lee allegations. Towards the end of Lee's appearance Stampy said that the L for Lee character was being played by someone else in the description of his videos (this is no longer there though). Lee, in his own video addressing the allegations said it was always him right until the end. So, you have to take Lee's word for that. But there wouldn't be much point in Lee saying this unless it was true because he left to protect Stampy's reputation in the first place. So spreading false information would just oppose Lee's own reason for leaving.
Other than this, Stampy handled the situation remarkable well considering the entire situation (the nature of the allegations and Stampy's young audience). Not going into why Lee left as to not draw more attention to it etc.

I met Stampy while I was working at a gaming event in a museum a good few years ago, I was running the Minecraft area and he was doing a VIP meet and greet thing and playing a bit of Minecraft with some of the visitors. Got to chat to him before it started and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy - approachable, down to earth and friendly. Also I was entirely unfamiliar with who he actually was at the time and kept referring to him as Stampy Long Foot.

everytime i hear stampy's voice, i always get a warm feeling as if the world wasnt so stressful and everyone around you is fine, i remember the times i watched stampy with my cousin and everything was care-free and i just wish i could relive them.. watching this made me just stare into the ceiling as my heart just felt tickles as i was remembering the memories, and i dont know if im either sad or happy... im just thankful.

Yeah... I used to watch him back when I was like 7/8. I kinda watched strictly him because I had gotten in trouble in the past when I stumbled upon a channel that swore and my parents heard, but I knew he was okay. I watched him for a long time. But being in my early teens now I'm not quite as interested in gaming videos as a whole other than an occasional video. I kinda forgot about Stampy, but thinking back I'm glad he was around and hope he has a good rest of his life.

It's a strange age for TH-cam. For many of us, it was just a funny video site for random stuff back in 2005-2006. Now it's been 15 years and the kids that once watched it have aged, and the direction the platform has gone is for monetization. It's sad, but something new and better will come around eventually.

I remember watching him when I was ten and his play-throughs were always so fun and carefree, I even watched him when I was sick. Now the nostalgia and just sweet nature he always has makes me wanna tear up so bad. One of the few you tubers I feel like has actually left a big impact on me as a person. ☺️

Never really had a downfall just that everyone who watched/played with him just grew up in life which is honestly probably better than just falling off the internet
as someone who watched his videos as a kid and later went on to primarily be a detail builder whenever I play the game (thanks Grian), I realize now that his world from the OG letsplays are genuinely really impressive. Of course he had help but creating a world that has a sprawling and yet homey feel like that is difficult, and can only really be done right over the course of years.
Stampy is a goat. Probably one of the only content creators that actually made child friendly content when he found out the majority of his viewers are kids. Mad respect

its sad i used to run home after school just so I could watch stampy on my moms phone. sometimes I wish i could go back, we grew up and that's sad. i had fun, i laughed, i giggled, and i cried but sometimes time just goes on without warning. stampy made the world more peaceful than he knew and now its time for someone else to take that spotlight. but lets not forget the good times they were much more better than we could have asked for and I'm grateful for that. bye stampy you were a huge part of my life along with mark and jack but you were simple and kind, you were a pillar in our lives and we were in yours us kids are now almost adults we'll never forget how you shaped our future for the better. now dont eat too much cake and get some sleep and know we'll still remember.

whenever i hear his voice or name or see his face, i can’t help but shed a tear. I remember i met him once for the 2015 book and i met squashie too. I remember i queued up for an hour and i met a friend and we saw squashie and wr had a deep conversation with squashie for about half an hour and left for half an hour to que up more and we came back and had mother conversation for half an hour. He was my childhood, and i remember his first video i ever watched to the last i ever watched. I remember other kids leaking old videos of him swearing and i remember being shocked and scared that he’ll get and i quote “told off”. Good times, i think he’s one of the legends that kept youtube alive. Thank you stampy for making my childhood one of the best childhoods a child could ever have. ❤️

Yeah it was fun, even though I haven’t watch one of his videos in years. And yet I can remember events from a lot of the videos like it was yesterday. I was with my friend last year and we both grew up watching Stampy. One afternoon, my friend pulled up one of Stampy's old videos where he was building a bathroom, i dont remember much, but memories came flooding back and we got so invested in this one small video. When it was over, i felt like i just got a flashback of my entire childhood, a part of it i hope i will never forget again.
He totally deserved his appearance in Minecraft: Story Mode.
Edit: Then again, it was not the best Minecraft game..... He deserved much better.

Yep i loved his video when i was kid but now im older there not as entertaining he once was for me his channel didnt evolve with his viewers and id love to see stampy being relevant again but i dont think that will happen

I'll be honest, Stampy is taking his decline like a champ. Not making a fuss, not blaming anyone, just accepting that he had a good run, and that the run will soon be over
