- I met these young Iranian Metal enthusiasts at a public park in the mountains above Tehran. My friend Jesse and I talk with them about religion, music and culture. Even though there was quite a bit of a language barrier, we had fun relating to each other. I liked these guys. Before I started filming they were playing some favorite songs for me through their mp3 players.
Iam an iranian teenager thanks for capturing this piece of iranian culture that less people are known of
understanding what theyre sayin in farsi makes this video so much more interesting/funny, i love it lol
The guy smoking is a total babe!
Lol agreed. He's really nice to look at.

aska azadi iran Hahah I believe you. Iranian men are so beautiful !!!!❤️
He looks above average. Not my type
how i miss iran, have to go back... mexican speaking here... best people
I love watching this video when people from different countries, backgrounds and language talk to each other and share about what they like to hear and so on. Thanks for sharing this video :)
all metalheads in iran have metallica in their top 5.
METALLICA . YEAH
not preciously !
i think thats true
i know many iranian metalheads who are in iran that prefer Megadeth over Metallica !
yeah dude. i said have metallica in the top five. it means from number 1 to 5. yeah ur right
Wher is slipknot or rammstein?
very cool to see music bringing people together once again. All you guys are seriously cool! \m/
Somehow this video touched my heart,i am Iranian living in Australia for almost 18 years.is it fair that Iranian young generation forced to live and think like an 80 years old fashioned and i think no matter how hard you try to see this on this young and friendly faces still hard to capture what is really hurting them an inside out,but Iranian people carry very strange culture, and this kind of Iranian cultural still forced them to hold up the pain and hide it inside but act happy and fulfilled.
"Do you play video games on that, what games do you play?" "Yes game" xDD
sexiest sounding language on earth.
I am from a country which was a part of India once and I agree with you 100%. The only reason we English is taught rigorously in our countries (Bangladesh, Pakistan and India) is because we were the bitches of UK once. In fact, in my native country of Bangladesh, Farsi was spoken widely before the fucking colonization....I wish we still spoke farsi like we used to. Farsi is the most romantic language I ever heard.
Im just waiting for when somebody gets the barbeque fired up and cooks some kebab, then you can get the party started. When I was in Iran a year or so back all kinds of music are listened to and watched at peoples homes via satellite. I felt really safe in this city but ate too much and made loads of friends. Damit Garm to Iranian people.
I'm an Iranian Metalhead too but ... I don't know why i didn't enjoy this talk .. this Video !
Maybe because of the language difference and some questions get misunderstood. Vali khob jaaleb nabood :)
CHris Henniker They don't need pirate radio, they have computers and the internet. With a little ingenuity they can easily get around the censorship or get black market stuff downloaded from the net. However, they can't perform any non-religious or non-military music in public because Khomeini banned it and the ban has never been lifted.
adonis slt metalhead!?
از بس که انگلیسی شون مزخرف بود
Thanks for making Iranians accessible and "human" to those of us from other countries :)
I hope they aren't murdered for this video.
Gives me hope that Iran will become a nice place to visit or even live in the future.
WOOW i've always found iranian metalheads soooo good looking!!!!
EXCELLENT VIDEO !!!!!!@@@
GREETINGS TO IRANIAN PEOPLE !!
FROM BRAZIL.
You gotta admire these people for being brave enough to speak up in front of a camera in that manner considering what kind of regime rules their land!
Guys, this is really interesting. I am a metalhead from Honduras and have been watching videos of Iranian rock which is great and now that I see this video and your attitude I believe there are so many things we have in common. Rock on guys; fuck politics and other things that divide human beings.
Cool,,,you guys Rock.: )
very interesting video, metal culture in Iran.
Cool Cats ! I think 60 percent of iranian people are under the age of 30 ,And they Love american culture,Music ,Video Games. Hopefully there will be peace for everyone
Seem like cool dudes.
greetings from a metal head in france
i love Persian music and it needs more awesome metal bands and these guys should start one. they're also all adorable xP
Am A Persian Old School Metal Head ,And My Religion Is DIO .No God But DIO . Love And Peace To All From Good Old Wales.
I am a Iranian . I think Slayer is number 1. and Tom Araya is best singer in the world.
Praise Allah!
This was interesting to watch from my perspective as a person from the U.S.
I love Irani songs and movies since childhood ❤
That was my impression as well. Before I started filming, the first question they asked me was "Are you Phat?" I think that was their way of asking if I was cool, or if I was into getting high or something.
ore you a live now ?
I L-O-V-E these kids! seem just like the ones I'm raising. I don't care what their music preferences are when they are so kind and loving to strangers. They seem to me to be just like the rest of us... trying to find our place in this world w/o hurting others. That is all.
Bless them all!!!
i love this group ...
We need Iranian metal bands :(
look up Arsames(Death Metal) and Az Shanbe(Alternative Rock)
@@Arvy565 I know but they are really outnumbered
plz go to Gorgan(a city in north of iran).
That was our Iranian tour guide. He was rounding us up to go to the next stop.
These guys are HOT!!
a real time real movie, a true documentary film full of honesti. thanks for posting
This type of music origitinated in europe early 70's. We called it punk Rock... First ones were by a New yourk band Ramones and in Britain Sex Pistols. Clash, etc....
Do you know these?
chish bahal bood azizzz , in ke migee din doost nadaree?? in ke yaroo dare harf mizanee daran injori sigar mikeshann , chish bahal bodd , man aslan khosham nayomadd.
As an American of Persian decent, I can tell you the two main guys (the one smoking and the one with the black wrist band) are Persian. The reason that they may not look as "white" as you might think is because Iran can get very hot and is sunny a lot, and everyone is always tan. Take a Persian to London for a year and he'll be white as a sheet.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
if you study the history of great social changes such as the Red Revolution in Russia and how the Soviet Union tried to show the world there was freedom in that country by lots of cultural and sports activity as well as science and technology show-offs, you'll get a glimpse of what is going on in Iran in the name of a religious revolution ...
idk why this simple conversation was so interesting to me
i soooo want to go to Tehran.....
Nice guys, Very friendly!
I hear more than enough about religion already in the U.S. I wanted to know more about what metalbands they like!
@DjangoMongolianTube1 do you really know your history? I'LL ASK YOU A QUESTION: after the death of cyrus the great, what capital city (from persia) did he left behind?
man they know some serious good bands
Handsome, and opened minded.Nice
@JigareTehroon peace to you too my friend
from israel to iran let all the great in iran ppl fight the evil
and win for a better world to all of us
peace by friend
peacedragon12: You're an interesting individual ... wish I had your job exploring other cultures ... good interview, well done!. Not to rat 'em out, but when you told them you were single, one of 'em was curious about your girlfriend's name!!! LOL
We actually had two of them, but with 16 people in our delegation, they could not be with all of us all of the time. Still waiting for the Startrek Universal translator technology :)
no they cant but he did say it on the camera which is a brave thing to do considering the situation in Iran
"kiram dahanet koja sakhtim baba" HAHAHAAA
Bruh😂
@DjangoMongolianTube1 almost correct but it was not parsagade, there were three capital cities after the king's death: babylon, susa, ecbatana. ive been speaking english since i was a kid i dont use slang, i also speak sanskrit.
in sia sookhteha chi migan dige?
they didnt insult him, they said hes looks young for his age, and said how come hes not married at that age
i'm wondering who was the guy who didnt come in the video but i can hear him, he was kinnda sounding like a cop or mullah or osmething, he was trying to stop them from talking to u and everything. in case u didnt know:)
other then that i like this video so funny
Hey did u go to Iran just to visit the country?
nice video, how was your trip?
میخوام بدونم الان کجایید؟
Lols i kinda feel sorry for u and them cos the whole language barrier thing was really hard to break !! If i was there , id be like "wat!!?? Wat r u saying?! Can u understand me?! Wait sorry repeat that, i didnt really get wat u said!" :P wud be fun though XP
very cool stuff. metal is fucking universal. noone can ever take it from us. thrash til death!
Darusdei: I just wanted to say that America is not a 'religious nation' in any stretch of the imagination. Over 10% of the population identifies as aethiests, and the very few people go to church regularly (maybe 30% tops).
Yeah, there are a lot of Iranians in LA, but the largest group is in Germany, and definitely there are a lot of Iranians in Bangladesh. I live in a very small city in Central America, and even in this small city there are atleast 50-60 Persian families...They are everywhere...
My friend is a mojtaba
the last guy at the end wearing green is fucking hilarious "24"; the way he said the word 24 is price less. I laughed my ass off.
Yeah.. sorry if I was a little too harsh. And I've been to India (Mysore, Bangalore and Goa), but still stereotyping all Indians based on what I might have occasionally come across is wrong.
What I generally like about most Indians I’ve met is their calmness. We Iranians have a li’l bad temper sometimes.. hehe
Cheers
iranian people are the nicest people anyone can ever meet, its the governemtn thats messed up, i wish people could understand that
@Matroos0611 Excuse me for your misunderstanding. I know about Iran i would love to live there one day, infact it is one of my dreams. All im saying is these guys in particular seem like they have no life ... but thats them, everyone lives life as they choose. I know that not all iranians are like that and Ive been there once before, its amazing!!!
I like to translate what their say from Persian to English but will do it if you add it as subtitle! In fact what they say are really interesting specially when try to understand what you say because they have some problem understanding words like 'interested' and they think you mean "Do you trust Islam?" and when they say 'no' they mean they don't have any respect for it!
"To be governed is to be watched, inspected, spied upon, directed, law-driven, numbered, regulated, enrolled, indoctrinated, preached at, controlled, checked, estimated, valued, censured, commanded, by creatures who have neither the right nor the wisdom nor the virtue to do so. To be governed is to be at every operation, at every transaction noted, registered, counted, taxed, stamped, measured, numbered, assessed, licensed, authorized, admonished, prevented, forbidden, reformed, corrected, punished.
It is, under pretext of public utility, and in the name of the general interest (that we are) drilled, fleeced, exploited, monopolized, extorted from, squeezed, hoaxed, robbed; then, at the slightest resistance, the first word of complaint, to be repressed, fined, vilified, harassed, hunted down, abused, clubbed, disarmed, bound, choked, imprisoned, judged, condemned, shot, deported, sacrificed, sold, betrayed; and to crown all, mocked, ridiculed, derided, outraged, dishonored. That is government; that is its justice; that is its morality." ~ Pierre-Joseph Proudhon (1809-1865), quoted from "What is Government ?"
metamorphosis67 Well said.
They look like cool guys.
this has nothing to do with politics, simply relaxed guys doing there own thing and not giving a damn about problems. I said once and i say again. Great video mate.
Hi Mate From US ! I Wish I could Be There To give U Convincing n' Satisfactory Answers...Young Persians Are Religiously N' Mentally So Different From The Current System,Ruling In Persia/Iran. Western People and Americans Just Know Propaganda But U Must Visit Iran To See The Reality....
olehomer88 i kinda agree but honestly it's not coming from hate it's because of the lies media has told us for so many years. i mean a lot of iranian people basically grow up with it.but it's starting to change because with all the social media that people are involved with now, they can finally understand the truth.as you may know we are not the first country when it comes to technology so for many years the only source we had was the things government wanted us to believe .
from the israeli bombs?
What
american people are very social .
thanks for this video
nice, keep up the good work people need to see that Iran is a beautiful place run by the wrong people. They were laughing because he had to translate by not means is it at you
fuck yeah! these guys would be down to chill with! they know good metal.
I am not sure that you have a choice!!! Dig it
you mean exiled shah loyalists?
This could have been a super interesting interview if the guys spoke English. Too bad. But nice to see metalheads in Iran. \m/
These are some cool dudes...
this is HILARIOUS really, and i agree with you bemaniak

As an Iranian metalheads who lives in Sweden, i have to say, the metalheads community is very ignorant in Iran as well as other things! but not bad at all, at least something! lol there are many other good bands to listen to if you pull out ur head from the Metallica's ass lol
wow I like these guys
idk why everyone says that Iranians go to their countries "nowadays"?! as an Iranian, i've never heard anything about "Bangladesh" and as ik, the largest community of Iranian immigrants is in the LA.
Lol I'm half English half Iranian & I speak both languages, this is interesting & so funny!
dobare 1 khareji omad iran o bache ha kiresh kardan!!!
these guys are pretty cool lol
yani vaghan too iran hame englisishoon injoori dar hadde jolbake ???? :O
In Chicago, I have had a LOT of Persians come through musically. Most were Zarathushtis, and others, and they broke the Shiites down easy!
This cool. Just a couple-a dudes hangin' out, havin' a smoke and shootin' the shit
Playing any kind of non-religious or non-military music IN PUBLIC, as in a concert situation, was banned by Khomeini and is still illegal today. These kids only play in each others' houses and garages. Also women are not allowed to sing or play even the religious and military songs. Also, long hair and even the silly mullet hairstyle is banned, so that one guy sitting there with the long hair has to be very careful.
yea, true...
The noble one is seldom, take care brothers. Good luck!
آقا سطح فقط زبانشونو 😂😂
البته این ویدئو عطیقس مال 16 سال پیشه
"i'm gonna go find and listen to them[black cats]."
