I’m going to be honest I don’t really like most of the show but you can’t deny the energy and talent of every single member in the Corp during the year because they are really fucking amazing especially the mellos and it makes me want to do dci even more

Lan Hatch well it depends on what you consider a mello mouthpiece because a mello mouthpiece could be a standardized trumpet mouthpiece like a dome like shape or a french horn mouthpiece which is in the shape of a cone. Granted this is coming from a orchestra/classical background and i understand blue devils make their own mouthpieces but there is only so much you could change with a mouthpiece before it becomes something totally different than what the normal player is used to.
It looks like two performances were edited together to create this clip. Notice how many of the parts where he’s playing the mellophone is at an outdoor stadium. You also see when he approaches the prop to manipulate it in several instances. Discuss...
Yeah it's quite obvious, one is a rehearsal and another is the performance. No need for discussion, it's just what it is. Pretty well edited together I'd say.
