    Jack is criminally underrated.... He tells everyone over, and over, and over again, It's not about beating the game..... It's about finding the edge, and then being patient enough for the slow burn.... But everyone wants to be a millionaire in 6 months, and no one explores statistics and probability..... Nobody wants to think about it long-term as if it were the stock market.

      Thing is if you worked hard enough at applying Jack's advice and had a decent bankroll a million might not be that impossible in a few years. The irony is that Jack would never say that because he's no bs artist and doesn't make grandiose statements like that. But if you had to make a million in six months following his advice would literally be one of the best approaches.

      At a 30% Corvette in my bankroll and earning 20% in return so the investment is minimal with the high percentage of return @@gregoryadler7806

      For example, if you win 60% of your bets on the year, what do you actually need to risk in order to make a living? Or tell us some juicy stories about bad beats or nice wins or guys that couldn't handle the lifestyle or one of your best streaks ever, personal stuff really, people will love that.

    Captain Jack your videos have been super helpful! As I grow my bankroll how often should I be reassessing my bet size based off my bankroll? Do I want to keep track daily and bet 1% of whatever my current bankroll is? Or do I want to ignore the daily ups/downs and update it weekly or monthly? Thanks!

    • @Unabated
      @Unabated  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. Ideally you resize with each bet but often you have concurrent bets going on. Resizing daily or weekly is fine as long as that remains within the scope of your emotional bankroll as well.

    • @cipriandobrea7369
      @cipriandobrea7369 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      IMO, you can't go wrong betting either 1 or 2% of your bankroll (BR) and readjusting at each 25% increase in BR. Example: $1,000 BR, bet $20/game (2%). Once your BR grows to $1,250 (25% increase) your unit amount grows to $25. If you want to be more conservative, bet 1% units rather than 2%. Once you reach a new BR peak, you don't lower your unit amount even if you fall back below $1,000 in this example. It's either reach the next plateau or go bust. Kelly Criterion was debunked decades ago.

    I appreciate these videos! This guy is good! Here's my philosophy on sports gambling.... I'm not smart enough to become a "pro" .... I'm not in it to win money... if I was I would become broke guaranteed! Sports gambling is so random. There's so much luck involved! So what I do is I treat it as a hobby! My whole goal is to not have to put money in my account, and just keep using my bank roll to bet!!! I start at 100 dollars and for the most part every bet is 5- 10 dollars... if I double my bank roll I will take out some money to reward myself! But yea let's be honest guys.... where not going to become pros ! 😂 just be responsible and gamble to give you something to watch! That's what I do! It's been great! Mass legalized it last year!! I love it! #DraftKings

      @Unabated  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      First you need an edge. Bankroll management and bet sizing is useless if you don't have an edge in what you're betting. As the video points out, then you need to decide if you're flat staking or betting proportionally to your edge. A 4% edge, adjusted for quarter-kelly staking would have you betting 1% of your bankroll. 1% of $1500 = $15. As your bankroll grows, your bet size grows.

      As mentioned in the video, the most important part is finding +EV wagers to make. At that point, everything else falls in line. If your bankroll is replenishable you can be aggressive. If it is all the money you have to devote to this, then you should be more conservative.
      At $1,000, you're expected value per bet is going to be just a couple dollars at best. You'd be better off just taking advantage of sportsbook promotions and bonuses where you can. That will help build a bankroll large enough that the hourly EV is worth it to you.

    Here is what seems to be an easy way to win at betting baseball. We all know baseball teams play mostly 3 game series, sometimes 2 or 4 game series against each other. Stats say that since the 1960's 24% of 3 games series, and 11% of 4 game series are sweeps. Twice a week on wednesday and sunday which are the final bame of most series there a big handful of series 2-0 going into the last game. Each game you have a 76% of winning betting on the team that is 0-2. The occasional 3-0 lead in a 4 game series gives you an 89% chance of winning. I charted this the last month of last season. Most times you are betting on the underdog with an occasional slight favorite. Whats best there is no researching or handicapping. Sure beats trying to pick 58% of pointspread bets. I would like to know what our expert host thinks about this along with everyone else. I can't wait to get started. "LETS PLAY TWO ! "

    • @Unabated

      It's like saying that a roulette ball lands on red 48% of the time and on black 48% of the time, if it has landed on red twice in a row, then the odds it'll land on red a 3rd time are .48 * .48 * .48 = 11.06%, so it's 89% to land on black. However, past events don't make future events have any different probability. The odds of landing on black are still 48%.

    • @naturespirit33
      @naturespirit33 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, its like saying something that factually happens 76% of the time...will continue to happen 76% of the time. I know when your a sports betting expert its hard to say "Wow I missed this one" but you and most people including myself missed this one. @@Unabated

      Why not just bet the first game of the series then? If it loses, double up on the second game, if that loses quadruple up on the 3rd game because there's only a 24% you'd lose. You're literally proving a line in the video.

    • @naturespirit33
      @naturespirit33 ปีที่แล้ว

      A negative progression is one way but if we win one unit 75% of the time and lose 8 units by doubling and quadrupling 25% of the time we are back where we started. I plan to use a weekly positive progression. For instance the first week we bet 5 units on all bets. If we lose that week we bet 5 units each game the next week. If we win the next week we bet 6 units per game. Every week we win all bets go up one unit. I guess there are many ways to bet to take advantage of an edge like this. Thank You@@Unabated

      @@naturespirit33i like how you think this is some groundbreaking info that nobody has ever thought of before. you're prob the same type of fool going around saying, "in the NFL, it is hard to beat a team 3 times." So you'll have this in NFL Playoff games between existing division rivals.
      The team that won the 1st 2 times? They win at a 63% clip the 3rd time. So am i saying to blindly bet this angle? No. A ridiculous amount of variables still exist that, in any fair estimation, need to be taken into account.

    180mchurns to double what u mean how about compounding

    • @Unabated
      @Unabated  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Each time you churn (cycle) through your bankroll, you can expect to be ahead an amount equal to your avg edge per wager. So after one churn, if your average edge was 4% and you started with a $10k bankroll, you should be around $10,400. Now as your betsize goes up because your bankroll has gone up, you are leveraging the compounding effect with each future churn. To estimate how many churns it'll take to double, divide 72 by your edge. At a 4% edge, it's 18 churns.

      @@christophermann94started with a $50 sign up bonus and I’m now at 3k. It’s not the skill of the man it’s the will of the man.

    This is so hard to understand. Didn't know you needed a degree to be into sports betting. People need to understand that in the end, it's just gambling on an outcome that you cannot predict. My #1 rule is: when the outcome is so obvious, bet the other way!
