Fantastic video! Love that you always seem to be able to show stuff on the channel that I don't know, and things that are so useful!! It also keeps me humble when I think I know everything haha

Great tutorial as always, Core and Blue! Keep them coming! As an idea for future content, I would love a tutorial series covering Krokodove nodes and tools, as they seem very powerful but sadly there’s not much info about how they work or specific usecases. Stay cool in the heatwave!

@Core And Blue Sir, I really enjoy your videos. Is there any chance that you could do a video on taking something created in fusion and turning it into something that appears in the effects panel persistently regardless of project. I could see that being a video that would receive a ton of views, along with subsequent subscriptions. :-)

Hey, we actually have quite some very good videos on how to build templates for the effects library. Here's a selection of the essentials.
      How to build templates:

Bundle your templates for easy sharing and installation:

Build powerful templates with custom controls:

Make templates with media work across multiple projects:

I switched from Adobe to Davinci because of reliability issues but after hundreds of dollars spent on courses and hundreds of hours , I switched to Final Cut because I can't seem to understand how to use nodes in Fusion. Now I have a Final Cut/After Effects workflow. Fusion is like Chinese Algebra for me, lol. Was it hard for you to learn Fusion as well?

The first thing that I recommend to every user is to start with Blackmagic Design free course that is available on their website before spending their money on third party courses or watching TH-camrs. It is not only very well explained but they also provide all the assets to follow along real projects.
Then yes, TH-cam tutorials can make a useful and entertaining addition or can further explain some features.
I used After Effects for over 15 years and also had a strong experience with Nuke (also using nodes) before switching to Fusion Studio. I must admit that Nodes systems comes naturally to me and I find them better structured and way more versatile.
In all honesty, having experienced how unreliable After Effect has become, I try to stay away from it and only use it whenever I have to collaborate with a lost soul. 😉

    Hi Core and Blue
I’m just starting out, having retired from work about a year ago. I want to do everything and maybe it’s a bit to ambitious having to learn everything from scratch. Can you suggest the best beginner tutorial? I’m also looking at getting a BLACKMAGIC camera Pro for filming remote areas in Australia. I have 2 GoPros and a Mavic 2 Pro drone. Maybe this is not the best platform for answering my questions.
This tutorial looks very thorough and well thought out …. Well done!
I will subscribe. As you know, my fellow countryman Grant created BLACKMAGIC, l saw a tutorial by him where he talked about metadata, it was so well explained. I like your other content too. There are many passionate contributors to this exciting industry and I look forward to getting some hints from your great channel. I hope the heatwave abates soon for you, we had a horrid summer in 2020 …. Stay cool and safe ! ☮️

Thank you so much for that awesome comment! There are plenty of beginner tutorials on TH-cam and while those can be very useful as a complement, we can assure you that none of them will be as helpful and comprehensive as Blackmagic's own free beginner course. They provide all the projects and assets to follow along while working on real projects. We try to bring more beginner friendly content to the channel but somehow, we are having a hard time fitting 48h of work in one single day. 😅

For some reason I only have the default Fusion layout preset

      @CoreAndBlue  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Those presets options are only visible when you are in the Fusion page. 👊

This is definitely sweat trying to record with 38°C/100.4°F in the studio. 😅
You should see me constantly patting my face with a cotton pad. 😂
