      +Prabhu Ram Glad you liked it, Prabhu! I will definitely keep putting out more fundamental based lessons. I want to start with the foundation stuff and gradually work up to the more advanced subjects. That way everyone can follow.

    This is probably the easiest to understand most effective basic drawing tutorial on youtube. Thank you so much for doing it!

    You are amazing. Your tutorials are so well explained, definitely among the best on TH-cam. There's no wasted space, meaning that you don't just drone on and on like so many others. I am going to buy your perspective drawing series because I want to support your hard work.

    Gonna try this, but probably going to just retry from the same circle if I make a mistake. Don't want to be too good at drawing the smaller circles and barely practiced at the larger ones.

    At age 51, I have finally decided I can learn to draw...I always thought tracing was helpful but so many artists eschew this as cheating..thanks so much for this...I will be doing this daily!

    • @ATWStudios
      @ATWStudios ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Tracing is great for learning, it's when someone traces someone's work and calls it their own work than for practicing/learning purposes. Tracing and breaking down other people's art can be a great learning experience in general!

    Thank you so much for this tutorial and that drawing sheet. This video was so helpful for circles and ellipses. I practice them tracing over and over again and then draw and see my progress on a blank sheet. It helps me find what I am doing wrong. and now I have nearly perfected my circles.

    It's harder then it looks. My hand keep sticking to the paper. Really helpful. It's so hard to fine good fundamental tutorial. When I get my cintiq in this will be one the the exercise I will be doing to help get use to it.

    • @MyDrawingTutorials
      @MyDrawingTutorials  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +SaiTurtlesninjaNX It is harder than it looks :-) Awesome, I really want to get a cintiq myself, but I'm new to graphic tablets so I'm going to start off with a medium Intuos first and see how it goes. Gonna order it off Ebay right now actually :-)

    • @SaiTurtlesninjaNX
      @SaiTurtlesninjaNX 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have Intuos pro large. I don't like it. The why how drawing a circle isn't the same as drawing circle on paper. It's just throw my off.
      If you have a chose between Intuos Pro and 13 inch cintiq. Go with the cintiq. Get a Intuos just for tutorials and for comparison. Most people I talk to say a Cintiq feel more like draw and painting traditionally.
      The cintiq I'm getting is the new 27 inch. I save up for months. And I'mg going to make my own smudge guard off of scrap spandex left over from my Spider-Man costumes.

    • @MyDrawingTutorials
      @MyDrawingTutorials  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +SaiTurtlesninjaNX Yeah definitely. Eventually I want to spring for the Cintiq, but I'll have to start saving up too :-) I'm planning on using the Intuos (for now) just to help make my tutorials better. I'm a bit nervous about it cuz I still don't know exactly how it's going to work. I'm hoping it can integrate with Adobe After Effects and let me draw smooth graphic lines over the video for demonstrations. 27 inches huh?! That sounds like a bad-ass work station!

    • @SaiTurtlesninjaNX
      @SaiTurtlesninjaNX 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My Drawing Tutorials Starting cheaper Intuos just to learn programs isn't a bad idea. I also use After Effects. I've heard of a few effect artists using tablets but it's not really needed. If your looking for art programs Clip Studio Paint aka Manga Studios is a really good it's just like drawing traditionally.
      I can gave you a few saving tips. First off I work restaurant so I get tips and this also what I did to save.
      1. Save a $100 or more a pay check. Which is is $200 a month. I put $100 in my paypal and another $100 in a envelope.
      2. Put any loss change and cash into a jar. Lets say you 20 bucks or more on you every week. By the end of the week you put that or what left in a jar and take you another 20 bucks.
      3. Always try to keep your eye on your bank balance. What I did for months. I try to have at least $2000 in my bank account at all time just so I can put in another thousand for when that time comes.
      So by the end I save. $2200 in change, $700 in cash, plus over thousand from work. In total I spent $4000 with accessories on my cintiq. I only did that because I research and plan. If you start saving up now it may come down in price something new might come out.

    • @MyDrawingTutorials
      @MyDrawingTutorials  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +SaiTurtlesninjaNX $2,200 in change... wow! That's impressive. Thanks for the tips. I'll try to put that to use. Hopefully the price will fall a bit by the time I'm ready to get it.
      I'll have to check out those programs when I get the tablet. It should be fun!

  • @kilyenbalazs6398

    Excellent help. I used to do practices some years ago, but without any guide lines, i didnt really think about using them, but i guess, since its all about correcnt line work, that comes from muscle memory mostly (and self confidence in your drawing), its really good. Ellipses are always a problem to me, but i can get along, my real nemesis is symmetry ! Would you mind giving sometips how to practice symmetry?

    • @MyDrawingTutorials
      @MyDrawingTutorials  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Kilyén Balázs Good suggestion! Yes symmetry can be very tough. When I need to make something really symmetrical I usually use a simple grid to help guide me. But that's not really practical for an ellipse drawing. I have a few "tricks" that I'm thinking about to help with this. One of it is "ghosting". I'll compile these techniques into another video and release it sometime in the future.

    Just buy a grid paper and make small, mid & bigger circles with the use of grid boxes. In drawing perspectives, you still need to make a box to get a better angle of a table or any round object. Thank me later ✌️
