If I may, it is useful to know that the principles of traditional arts apply in the specialised softwares, because they are usually based on them, so learning to draw in good for any situation.
Please make more of these i finally found a relaxing and fun activity while also being proud of my work. I always had this story in mind that i wanted to turn into a comic, maybe with more of your videos and a lot of practice i can make that dream come true.

Hey Brad, I paid for a course to learn about posing, didn't learn anything. But this course just made me create so many wonderful poses in no time. Thank you so much for creating this so well. This could very well be a paid course.
Brad my man! i took a intro to drawing in college and i did not really understand most of the lessons. your videos actually make me feel confident and i learn way more from them on your TH-cam channel than in a actual college class with a professor
A 39-year-old new fan here. Just found out about this channel and now I'm obsessed. Thanks for the awesome vids! They've been helpful for my drawing hobby.
Really excited to see how far this channel goes. Im basically a blank piece of paper who can only draw stick figures. Hope this channel will continue its tutorials for beginners.
Hi Mr. Cowboy :) I'm an art director and a big fan of yours - thanks a lot for excellent reviews, brilliant tutorials, and now, this art school. My son would like to work as an illustrator so I've been watching every episode leading up to this one together with him. I think they're great, except for the last two ones, because they've been too technical. Kids want to learn how to draw fun things, like cartoons and favourite personalities like Mario, Halloweeny stuff, pirates, cats and dogs, know how to create cartoony facial expressions, how to draw fun and/or cute characters (I absolutely LOVE the class-bat :), and tricks that bring simple drawings to the next level, like shadows and highlights etc. Also, lately, you've been using an iPad Pro + Apple pen + Procreate, but not a lot of kids have access to those things/know how to use them, which makes it all a bit confusing. Drawing the human body, working with proportions etc comes much later (adult stuff if you ask me) and before getting there you need to feel that drawing is simple and fun, so I'm hoping for new episodes that are more easy-going and less technical. Apart from this feedback I only have great things to say, you're doing an amazing job and I NEVER buy anything technological without checking if you've reviewed it first. :D
Thanks so so much Brad for creating this channel! I'm learning how to draw again on the iPad after over 10 years away from my creative side. This channel is my favorite for remembering the basics to help get me back on track. I can't wait to see it grow! Cheers!
10:45 big brain JUST LIKE THIS CHANNEL! This is actually insane. I'm so happy I found this channel because I've always wanted to learn how to draw, but most tutorials, guides, etc. always start in a fashion where it sort of expects you to already know how to draw and understand what the person is doing. But this class teaches from the bottom up. And I mean BOTTOM bottom. This doesn't just teach your foundations, this teaches your foundation's foundations! And it teaches in such a way that I can soak it in, understand it, and tie it together with previously taught things. The little comical quips help a lot with paying attention as well and make the process even more enjoyable than it already is. It's obvious, but like, the skeletal drawings here in the form of stick figures, the ones made over the baseball players, utilize the same process as seeing any object as simple shapes. It seems obvious, but tying it in with the idea of looking at things in the artistic way (looking at an object and breaking it down into simple shapes) and realizing that they're sort of the same thing is pretty cool. You look at objects and discern its simple shapes in order to get a basic idea of how it would be drawn. With skeletal figures, we follow the same process but with the human form rather than basic shapes (however, we DO still utilize the basic shapes if we look at the rib cage, and joints). I might've worded it badly or made my point hard to follow.... but I kind of just hastily wrote this because I feel like I'm actually understanding and learning how to draw. It feels great. I'm finally making some progress! Thank you so much, Mr. Brad.
So I've attempted to learn how to draw many times in the last twenty years of my life and I've stuck to it longer this time than any of the others, in huge part because of your videos! Thank you for this channel. I know it's not your main channel, but just the videos that you DO have on here are super helpful. Thank you!

Super engaging, and genuinely entertaining. You give off the vibe of an innocent child while maintaining your mature composition. REALLY liked your style.
This channel is so underrated, being outta classes so long made me miss this sort of teaching and learning style, it’s wild that I’m getting excited about having homework lmao
This is the best art channel I have ever seen! And Brad! He is epic. He is teaching as a Teacher, not as a TH-camr! Keep it up and don’t stop drawing.. :D

My Experience After Coming Here And Learning Art:- 🔻In less than 3 hours, I learned all the concepts & how-to-do's from scratch. 🔻 More understandable & Easy To Learn Concepts. 🔻 Unbelievable Experience. 🔻 Recommended to my family & friends & also sent the channel to nearby kindergarten school where the principal promised that she will use your videos to teach their Young's. 🔻 I don't like this channel being too good, underrated!!! But I strongly believe that one day it will be a huge channel, and do remember me that time ✌️
This is almost like my diploma art courses but only more detailed and I don't feel so rush xD and all my questions have been covered, thank you! I enjoy relearning again to remind myself the basic techniques and tips for drawing better. And yes, sports is definitely the best for reference or learning xD even super hero poses are useful too, i had a 3D pose assignment in one of my courses , where my art teacher gave us a 3D dummy in Maya and have us do 10 different poses, but the tricky part was to make sure the pose highlights the messge clearly, like if you look at a silhouette of a guy jumping with his hands above his head and wrist bending forward, its a basketball shooting pose. I like to practice tracing on different poses too to just register muscle memory into my brain, also my art teacher shares that if you can't find the pose you want online, you can always take photos of yourself posing it and use that as reference, thanks again! Keep up the art content info 😊
As a 31 year old who had no idea how to make a stick figure look right this is really teaching me exactly what i needed and how i needed to hear it. For a LOT of these tutorials on YT you have to have some prior knowledge of the basics so when i would look up something like idk how to draw a strawberry, i would for sure get a ton of videos but i wasn't able to apply that knowledge to my art bc i didn't have any base knowledge. This channel has provided that for me and i'm so greatful. i know i will probably never be amazing at artist but hopefully i can stick with it long enough to be able to sketch out ideas or concepts i can't describe?
This channel is like a blessing because in my school you are forced to take Spanish if you want to take ART, and I don't like Spanish. So my only choice was band even though I wanted to take ART but I don't want to take Spanish. Thank you
Thank you for these lessons! I always wanted to learn the basics of drawing bodies and faces in realism or cartoon. This already is helping me so much because the lessons are explained so well and simple in a fun way!
This method actually works! I tried it myself since I can't really draw that well and i was able to accomplish what I wanted to draw!! Tysm for this tip it's gonna change the way I look at art 😄😁
Great video! Were I not retired, I'd be using this for sure! My only suggestion would be to break out proportions of the body into it's own video--there's loads of material to explore: the way proportions change as you age, the spectrum of head measurements (cartoon to realism to comic book to fashion illustration.) Personally, I emphasized "8 heads tall" for its 1) Slightly glamourising effect, and 2) Ease of use (breaks down the figure pretty easily and cleanly) A good proportion exercise: call all the proportions "inches" (or cm, or any arbitrary unit) and measure out the stick figure. All of which leads into foreshortening...
Once again your videos have made me able to understand a concept I couldn't grasp before! Thank you so much, agreed this video/channel is very underrated.
