    Thank you for all your information! I am wondering if you are using plain rain water or water with fertilizer that you gave in a previous video to water. Is the method you showed with submerging the bottom 1/3 of the pot being used with ALL your recovering orchids and healthy ones too? I had been using your previous full submerging but it is very time-consuming.

    This is my favorite orchid rescue video. I am having problems switching my orchids from the compacted sphagnum moss from the grower to a bark/moss medium. Are there any tips to help an orchid survive when you repot in a new medium. I am overwatering in moss, it is hard for me to gauge the right amount of water.

    Oh please Emaan do a video of one with no bottom roots. I have many air roots, but the stalk is hard and dry. On the very top of it looks like a new very poor leaf? It also has a brown tall stalk with something trying to grow on the end of it. I'm here in Mo. too! I'd be extremely grateful!
    I thank you very much for all your time and sharing your knowledge with us!💞
    I just bought a beautiful dark purple orchid from Home Depot for $5.00! With all I'm learning in your videos I will have a gorgeous orchid for a long long time🌺🍃

    Hi Emaan, just found and subscribed to your channel as you are so far the best instructor on orchids that I have yet to find. My orchids have very floppy leaves and few roots. I have 3 of them that are producing a new leaf as we speak but they are not as shiny as yours. I have them in a pumice/akadama/charcoal mix which I saw from another TH-camr. It is winter now in Sydney and I was wondering whether I should leave them alone until spring or do you think I should remove them from this medium and add spag moss like you do to encourage more root growth? They were gifts and i really dont want to lose them!!! PLEASE HELP 😓

    • @EmaansGarden
      @EmaansGarden  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it winter now, just leave them alone until spring, don’t water too much, you need to make them thirsty so they produce new roots, when medium is totally dry then water them, sometimes mist water under the floppy leaves,feed as i do and if it’s possible leave them under growing light.
      Sorry for late response and good luck.

      @@EmaansGarden thank you for your reply Emaan. Actually after watching your videos again I became really worried about them so I actually moved them into sphagnum moss and charcoal as one of them had root rot and the other 2 smaller plants were being choked by the compacted medium in pots that were too large for them. I think I should squeeze the moss as I left it quite wet. and will ask hubby to get me some grow lights. Ive also added a small fan and humidifier. Thanks for your adivce 🙏🏼

    Crystal Beeson . My Orchid has black top roots from under the leaves but my bottom roots I can only see 1 I transplanted my orchid in a little larger pot. My Orchid has new New Flower Spikes and a new spikes coming out two leaves. What’s wrong with my Orchid? What happens to my Flower Spikes. Do I transplant it into a smaller pot . I put my roots under sheet Moss and put little bit of rain water and the roots are coming back green. My Flower Spikes are alive and soft. Not all of the roots are turning green. What to do?

    • @EmaansGarden
      @EmaansGarden  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do not bother it, they don’t like it, if you transplanted just recently yes you can do it, because they got shocked and roots will die if you keep transplanting

    Thank you so much for this video Emaan!! I just got an orchid from my Mom that was in moss and the stem and roots rotted!! It only has 1/4 inch of stem from bottom of last leaf to end of stem, do you think it could be saved? And should I put it in bark since it rotted in moss? I threw out the original moss not knowing!! The leaves are still firm and green, I really want to save it, thank you for any advice!!

    Hello Emaan, very informative video. I have 3 orchids which have dried up base roots but left with only air roots . Can these orchids survive ? How should I take care of them to grow new roots ?

    • @EmaansGarden
      @EmaansGarden  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Latha Raju hello, I’m sorry that you have dry roots. But it is not a problem as far you have air roots. If those roots are long you can clean the dry roots and plant those air roots. I do that many times. I will try to make a video for you soon if you don’t know how to do.
