I'm glad to see that Asics put rubber in the side as opposed to the arches where most supinate . Sometimes, even when running slowly or walking, I felt I needed some support on that area where just the tick huge foam was not enough to give me the comfort and a bit more stability I was feeling that I needed.

Good review Emily. I recently purchased the discounted Nimbus 25 and although I have the correct size, I agree with you that it is a big shoe. Not sure where it will fit in my running shoe lineup. Maybe keep as a casual shoe.
Pronation test ✔ My Nimbus 25's are at 475km and still work great as an easy/LongRun and even good for tame strides, since the FB+ ECO isn't mushy.

Hey Heller - Awesome review - I was watching your video and thought it was so cool, you are local and I run at SM all the time! I was up there yesterday, I knew it looked familiar LOL ! I am a long time user of the Nimbus, I thought the 25 was a bit bulky, bought a pair, they are soooo soft and comfy though! I just tried the Novablast 3 because they are quite a bit lighter and I am loving them! Ran in them yesterday. Again, thank you! Awesome review maybe catchca at SM or the Winter Run series! Just ran 6 in my nimbus 25, 2 days after a hilly 9 mile race on Thanksgiving. My legs were fatigued but the cush helped a lot!
It’s the best for that sort of thing!
I just got 25,because my feet fell in love with them. I didn't know about the premiere of 26 coming so soon.
The only thing they needed to improve was breathability
For me the Nimbus 26 has a little bit of a firmer feel compared to the 25. I felt that my feet were sinking when I tried the 25 but both versions felt good on my feet. I chose the 26 just because of that little bit firmer feel. So far I have ran 37 km on my Nimbus 26 and I am loving it. 😊
My body craves Nimbus 25 on recovery days 🤤 the 26 looks good too! It’s hard to improve a good shoe without ruining it too

My Nimbus 25s also sound a bit slappy. None of my other shoes do.
I reckon I’ll just buy another pair of 25s at a discount when I need them. I’ll definitely go up half a size.
I have the 25, and love it, it's a max cushion that is totally different than all of my other max cushion shoes and I have tons of them, my new fav though is definitely my New Balance 1080 v13's OMG!! I am still waiting for the announcement of the more v 5's with the same Fresh Foam X that the new 1080 v13 has I am going to buy every single color way !!! LOL!!

Went from 24’s to 25’s. 25’s are a little bit narrower and crush my feet (24’s were great). Also the new bigger stack height removed all feeling with the road. I now feel a bit of a marshmallow effect (maybe it’ll compress ?). Overly stable and stop proper ankle rotation. Kind of wanting to get something a bit more responsive and not over engineered.
Curious if there will be a TR version of the 26. Great review as always.

I liked the 25s but they did not breathe in the humidity this summer. Tough call heading into winter weather to get them on sale or try the 26.
Indeed this shoe is very hot, even in winter feels hot, (no ventilation?) but perfect for long easy runs, as it is comfortable, but it sabotages fast pace runs (since the foot sinks and shoe is heavy and more effort is needed).
The Nimbus 25 are great for chubby people like myself. They are awesome on the knees too.

Great review, I'm not sure if you felt it, but it seems your right foot doesn't collapse as much, and although it's a neutral shoe, it seems to support your feet more. Just my observations from your run footage.
I didn’t feel it, but I did notice it In the run footage! I actually mentioned it while filming but it didn’t make it into the final video for some reason

I agree, the 25 colors look so much better than the 26s. I'm so sad and disappointed with the 26 colorways :(

Popular shoes ALWAYS come in many more colorways after launch so I never get it why people worry about that
Asics tends to release brighter and poppier colors later down the line.
Unfortunately, the 25 were too soft. If you are a heavier person or someone who pronates, the 25 weren't good for long term. I've been wearing the Nimbus line up for 18 years, the best they've done in my eyes were the 11, 18, 20 & 23.
The 25 had a lot of pros, but they need it to be slightly stiffer in the mid foot. Maybe add the roll bar or shank back? Completely neutral, is "too neutral."
Should you consider them if you have the invincible 1/2 or they are in the same category? And how do they compare?
They’re in the same category. I never tried the invincible 2 but the 1 is wayyy bouncier and energetic than this. The foam on the nimbus 26 is strictly cushy but no real energy return

25 is the color I was considering in mens, 26 is the color I will buy even if I have to buy "womens".
Not much of a change but that’s ok I guess. The 25 is a great shoe. Nothing here that screams it’s time to upgrade.

about the same for me as the 25. i love both but i'd prob go NB4
I get a fatigued dull sort of slight pain in my midfoot in the Nimbus 25 it makes me feel that the midfoot is not wide enough. That said, this has happened in most of the Nimbus I've owned even the wide width. Nothing a little break in time didn't fix. I love my 25's. They are very similar to the New Balance newest 1080 in my humble opinion.
Do you notice a better grip on different terrain or wet areas with the new sole style in the 26?

25s are flooding bargain bins in Canada at 70$US so its a no brainer
Nimbus 25 was a bit of a disappointment for me personally. I may have expected too much however because of glowing overhyped reviews. Narrow toebox, kinda stuffy/hot, and even though less than 50 miles on them, I already see a lot of wear on the outsole. Never felt/understood what reviewers felt so comfy about them myself. Sounds like they slightly improved all the complaint areas but too late for me, Superblast all day everyday for me, but I guess ASICS wouldn’t care they cannabalized sales of one shoe with a more expensive shoe for one single customer… lol. Wonder when superblast 2, because superblast could be improved with a better heel lock imo and better outsole although I still like them and think they’re the best shoes I’ve ever tried.
I have v25 and it's very comfortable but too soft and bulky for anything over 6 miles. If I get another max cushion shoe for next year, it will probably be the Novablast as that is lighter and less squishy. Right now, I'm really enjoying the Noosa Tri 14 for its light weight and geometry, which fits my mechanics very well.

Asics seems to be slowly morphing all of their training shoes into very similar shoes. Not sure how I feel about that.

I found the version 25 one of the worse shoes I’ve ever had. On longer runs, I often get knee pain. I don’t find them that comfortable

Again bad lacing system which can let you down in the long run if it breaks
I just came here to say that all the Ladies colourways in Nimbus are cool... They men got nothing in 25 and 26.
Lets just put some flyte foam blast turbo in a cheaper shoe than the suoerblast. Or get some more superblast in stock for us in the uk

I like the looks of 25 better..It has this round, cloudy, smooth, calming looks…and though might not look like it…it still perform really well, and comfortable for my zone 3 run…I’ll consider getting another pair if I could get a steep discount 🫢
