That would be up to Tez and Mack Maine. But its clear they're not great editors. There were so much better cuts for C5 that they never put on. As nice as C5 was, we know for sure it could've and should've been better with existing tracks he made for it.

It is literally a toss up for me and I’ve flip-flopped over the years BUT Carter 4 is PEAK Wayne IMO. 3 was peak Wayne for popularity but 4 has to be lyrically the best. Carter IV has Wayne’s most simplistic punchlines and schemes. 3, 2 and 5 have WAAYYU better punchlines than 4. Open Letter alone is better than any track on CIV.

After all, mixtape Wayne is wildly considered “the best version of Wayne”, and Carter 4 has the most mixtape vibe. And what I mean by that is it’s just punchlines galore, having fun with it, and rapping his ass off.

One of the best, most iconic album series in music. My personal ranking goes: 1. III 2. II 3. V 4. IV 5. I TC3 and TC2 go back and forth for me all the time. And also, TC5 gets too much disrespect, sure it’s a bit bloated but the highs and personal theme of Wayne’s writing throughout makes it a real special album to me.

Greatest album series ever imo
My personal ranking is
1:Carter III-Flawless,among hip hops magna carta,IMO waynes only 10/10. Dr carter is one of the greatest hip hop songs of all time
2:Tha Carter II-A milestone in his career,this album propelled him up to a hip hop legend imo,and started his prime.Tackled a lot of topics which is always great from him
3:Carter V-A great album for the time we waited,its also waynes most vulnerable album which is cool for a change,we never got that wayne earlier
4:Carter -Great album,but maybe its just recency bias having 5 over it,idk🤷♂️. If i had to choose his most dated carter it would be this.Didnt age bad at all in general but doesn’t hit as hard as it used to compared to 2 or 3
5:Carter IV-I hate putting one as last but this one just has to be.The tracklist,IMO,isn’t as memorable as the others besides 6foot7foot and she will.Sure mirror still does numbers but its not a great track to me

Let's not forget that, the carter IV shoudve seen light like 3-4 years before it was realeased and the sound was what was playing at the time. Wayne was and is ahead of everybody, dude is the GOAT.

I understand Tha Carter II is probably the best and I go back to bump fireman, best rapper alive, etc. however being 24 Tha carter III and IV is just what I grew up with. III is such a classic “A milli” will never be topped in my mind. Then again “Go DJ” on I maybe be the best wayne song of all time so it’s hard to shit on any of them😂

I’m not saying it’s the best, but tha Carter V is so underrated. No I don’t think it’s better than III and probably not II either but it is so great and has so many bangers. All 5 of tha Carter albums are great, I hope 6 lives up to it
Wayne is my favorite artist of all times, but the carter IV is the best of the series straight up. If you line up all songs from each carter from track 1- last track this album is gonna have more wins than anyone .

If the leak-5 Songs was kept on C3 it would be best but like most… most of Wayne’s best tracks are ones not officially released however, for me No ceilings holds the sentimental project & da drought 3 most of Wayne’s brilliance & dedication 2 is one my fav beginning to end listen it’s a seamless listen. Also the C5 leak OG version was better than the official release.

The new Wayne is perceived differently, but as always, his music tends to reveal itself differently at a distance. With the passage of time, "Carter V" has opened up for me much deeper than in the first year of listening. If then I thought it was one of the worst in the series, now it's the opposite
