Why isn't Kid Icarus as popular as Mario or Fire Emblem? Kid Icarus is such a good series, especially the sequel Kid Icarus Uprising!

I'm Stupid My Opinion Is SHIT but because the series was dead and no one really knew about pit until he was put in smash bros brawl. Then he got ressurrected when they finally made a 3rd game.

First of all, the difference between Mario and Fire Emblem is bigger than the difference between China and the United Kingdom(Fire Emblem wasn't exactly worth a damn before Awakening, while Mario is still the best selling gaming franchise EVER by a monstrous margin). Secondly...it never gained any momentum. Zelda outclasses it, Metroid outclasses it, and it all traces way back to the NES days, where it's 6 to 1 in sales compared to those two.

Btw Uprising isnt the sequel, the sequel was on gameboy but yeah it's a pretty good series. I personally hate the touchscreen controls.since I'm left handed though.

I have a copy of the Kid Icarus intro on my USB and I play it in the car. I played it for friend in the car. He screamed "Kid Icarus!" Later the thanked me for playing it for him.

There's a couple of bars of melody at the beginning and then almost a full variation of it at 4:09. But I agree, the strongest theme Kid Icarus is the Underworld theme and the arranger chose not to feature it in it's original form. Still a superb arrangement though.
