As a former resort employee, I would have made the sofa 🛋️ into a sofa-sleeper. I know, boooorrrrring! It’s a hotel thing. If you can put another bed in the room it increases the guest count! 🤪But the room is gorgeous. I could afford to have Sarah do my house, but I live in Tucson. She’d be so jet lagged, she’d never get her normal sleep cycle back!
I guess I would only be comfortable w EVERY spec signed off, by vendor + designer both, ea revision in a line, signed off. Excessive accountability makes people more conscious about checking themselves + their measurements.
I think the color combo is kinda of a timeless one, and it’s still beautiful…that being said most of these are older episodes I think this one is from November 2006 (15 yrs ago) and you know how our personal tastes and of course the trends change over time, in some of her newer work she seems to transitioned to a more contemporary style. I can’t believe how much my own tastes had changed over the years either, I used to be all about high contrasts and colors galore and I still like that sometimes but lately I lean towards high contrast but with morally neutral bright tones mixed with woods and all.
Sorry not liking this room,not your best work Tommy was right that the blue should of been the darker color that he wanted and I am with Sarah that the head board should of been much taller,it would of made the Dramatic look that Sarah was going for. Love your work Sarah however, not a fan of this room.
Disastrous the headboard didn’t get as tall as you wanted it because that really would’ve made the statement in the bedroom and that just ruined the bedroom because when you’re given an idea and you can see it and visualize it in your in your mind and then you end up getting something so much more inferior yeah you just don’t accept it even though you may have to but it’s never in the same way and it doesn’t bring the positive affect You were so hoping for!! that is a bummer😫

My favorite piece is the blue & white coral ottoman. Great size, great shape, great fabric.
