this is what I love seeing, people actually riding old MTBs on trails and not using them as mere display items or commuter bikes it doesn't matter whether the bike was made in 2021 or 1991, it's meant to be ridden on a gnarly trail 🤘🤘
I 100% agree with you on that, aslong as its still taken care of like you would any other bike, recently got a GT Timberline All Terra with full stx groupset and rockshox indy s forks, took it around the trails and nature reserve I normally loop on my big hardtail and I found it much more fun even on the downhill section
Ha! My first mountain bike! What a treat to see one being ridden. A friend still has mine in storage. I’d like to buy it back someday. Thanks for sharing this.
Awesone bike! Congrats! I had a pink and blue shimano LX montana comp back in those days. Sadly it was stolen back then. 25 years have passed and I still dream with her every night :)
Awesome! Some really nice shots and angles, you gotta be brave to take a fully rigid down those trails and man does that bike ever look good that thing is pure dreams, the holy grail of KHS's!!!
Thanks! Ah the trails aren't too bad, even on a rigid. Lower Cliff has a LOT more "braking bumps" than the last time I rode a rigid down there though. That was pretty wild.
HI, I had the KHS Montana Pro, True Temper II, which I did a USA/Canada 1,000 km ride for charity in 1994. A few years back, I found a Diamond Back Response frame, Ture Temper and in my size! Are you up to advising me about getting this set up as a gravel bike? I already have a Ti mtb, so would wnat to run this frame as a 2 X with either 660b or 700c wheels, hope you can help, thank you, Regards!
You are doing what all modern riders do, letting the bike do the work, which is what modern bikes do. You are the suspension here, you need to move with the bike and act as the suspension when riding a rigid. You look far too rigid yourself 😂😂
I mean arguably you have to move with every bike - even my modern full sus 29er! First time on this bike though so I am a bit rigid while getitng used to it.

You've just got to hold on tight sometimes!

I've always loved the pink and blue color scheme.
It's a classic!
There is nothing better than a light rigid mtn bike on a trail. You earn every mile.
That's for sure! Some of those braking bumps were nasty!

You should! The Team is a rare find!

I have the comp too :) and now the Pro.... I have too many bikes...
An awesome bike, not sure I'd be too keen to try and shred it on that kind of terrain but hats off. A great restoration and riding job.
Hi,
I like those classic 26 inch mountain bikes with cantilever brakes.
Have fun.
They're fun!
Great to see it out and about 😎👍
Once I get a bit more confident it'll be a wild ride!
Great content and loving seeing the old MTB's gliding through the trails again. Cove nearly complete and looking how I want it.
Hopefully I'll get a chance to take more of the collection out!
You know how some bike videos make you want to go out and ride? This is one of them. Damn that was hella fun!
Thanks! I think that's one of the biggest compliments you could give right there!

got an old school rigid mtb too .. love it !!
Awesome. Keep shredding!
That throwback bike can still shred!
Sure can! It's just heavily held back by the rider at the moment!
Ah brother amazing ride on a 30yr Mtb way to go. That would be a challenge on my modern Giant Talon 1. Cheers great video as always
🤙 It's fun! Great to get out on the trails on a rigid every now and again!
Great bike indeed.
Thanks!
