To be honest I don’t understand why anyone would want to invest in an income fund that most people aren’t familiar with the underlying investments, charges u fund management, and total reliance on the robot and the fund managers to deliver. The payout is only 4% with a lot of uncertainties around the capital. For me, if my intention is passive payout, I’ll just buy DBS shares direct and collect dividend. Yield is also 4+%. Any DBS management can challenge my opinion if they think buying DBS shares is more risky than this income fund. Moreover, now SG shares is lot size of 100 not 1,000 so the minimum amount to start shouldn’t be too much of a deterrence. Lastly I urge novice investors to only invest in things u are familiar with. Companies that even if u don’t know the financials, u feel assured it’s sound.

Agreed! I am having DBS share and collecting those sweet dividends. Invest in income fund is probably the worst advice i heard as i am one of the victim that bought these fund last year and it is still negative 30% at least.

Can you tell me for such robo advisers that invest regularly based on certain algorithms, does the fund manager interfere during extenuating circumstances such as the stock market crashes this year so as to achieve a higher rate of returns? Thank you.
does it mean the investment is insured? would it be much better than other robo advisers who solely focus on robo as business? or is it more worth it than investing on your own?

Does buying $100 of the save up give unlocks the invest category in DBS multiplier account? if so it might be worth to buy coz the extra interest may be larger then the management fee

Cpf oa interest is not tied to any bank, its fixed at 2.5%
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting ocbc just have a new investment. Having deposit CPF OA with them on fixed deposit earning 3.4%

I put 5k in asia portfolio 2 years ago and now the balance is 4.2k. It seems the bot and my fund manager can’t recover it.
