- I thought id give you an update on my custom Tamiya Grand Hauler Rc Truck build as its progressing nicely but slowly due to a few changes and is starting to look more like a stertched custom Kenworth W900 semi truck which was in fact the original look I wanted but without the stretched chassis.
In this video, i thought id show you how to make your own Twin headlight conversion for a Tamiya Grand Hauler or Tamiya King hauler for free or very little money, all you need is a rear king hauler bumper and a few basic tools such as a scriber or small saw, a file, some sandpaper and the will to have a go and do it yourself

Thanks buddy, it's getting there, just a couple of bits to finish it off really like mounting the tri drive, couple of prop shafts and I need to decide on how I have my cab then paint and off into the woods to play 😊👍

It's like Teri Wilde's idea, but with your twist. STILL don't know why Tamiya refuses to make Quad Headlights - either Rectangle or Round - for any of their Rigs!!??
It MAY have been nice in 1993 when they came out, but NO North American Trucks have those SINGLE, dual element, large Rectangle Headlights....
Save for a couple from AutoCar, MACK, and some Custom Rigs.

I want to do this to me Globe Liner. I've seen it already done on Teri's Cabovers, but have never seen the process. Even more difficult.... FINDING the Clear Lenses for the "Rear Bumper turned Headlamps".
Teri told me that she's only got one source, in Japan. 😵 It can't be that bad, can it??
Yep... I did that twin headlight conversion 8 years ago on my Globe Liner and I've done it to quite a few trucks... I ordered LOTS of the clear lenses from Japan so I have a stock pile of them 😀😀

I bought them off a friend at a truck meet some years back, they are tamiya aftermarket wheels though, whether they still produce them I couldn't say 👍
