I was inspired by the @Light_ Jetpack video so I built my own, then I built a bunch more and played with different customizations until I found a few that I love.
It's easy to build and fun to fly, and you can add whatever chest you'd like to the top, customize the cabinets on the side, and even add a seat so you can bring along a friend.
I've included a flight school with some flying tips and how to avoid losing your jetpack.
Here are the main materials you'll need:
10 wooden rod
2 wooden plank
21 granite
8 wood
8 flexwood
4 flexwood rod
4 cord
6 blast powder
11 torches
2 silk fabric
4 glass
Plus two cabinets
(16 wood total for my choice)
Choice of storage chest
(8 frostpine and 4 iron bars
for the Grand Chest)
Optional one square flooring for step
(1 wood for most)
Optional passenger seat
(3 wood for mine)

I like how you simplified it by using one button to go forward, making it less complex 😅. Also, loving your speedruns with it!
Thank you so much. It’s still has a lot of your base design that I liked a lot. Even with the easy controls I’m still challenged by trying to land on a small square but it’s fun to try. Reminds me of a very old game called Lunar Lander 😂 And it is so great for speedruns. I can get village to village in under a minute.

Thanks! It’ll probably still glitch out sometimes but if you go to lobby or in and out of a cave it’ll reset. It’s been more reliable than anything else for me

Thanks Kaboom! I did my best to add my own customizations but Light inspired it and deserves the credit. Honestly this thing has improved my enjoyment in the game soooo much! Mobility was awful before

Nice little build and great tutorial. Only change I made was to use a 8x2x1 plank under the vehicle base for the step.
Getting the piece underneath can be a challenge. The passenger seat has been useful for transporting friends

little tip for the cave problem. you can place a waypoint down when you enter the cave to find your way back to the entrance.

Thank you so much! I started a new village last week and once I was able to build my jetpack again it felt like such a relief to help to get around for more materials
I modifed it and made it for 4 people to ride i really like this design its easy and very useful love it

@@E1FEX Great advice. I've actually been doing that. I was afraid of Markers for awhile because there was a glitch that would limit them but now they seem safe again, and a great way to track your vehicles. Wish you could put one ON the vehicle.

Also there a couple of item shop changes and stuff has moved around. Also, you can't place a balloon on a trunk.

Had a ship with a follower from my village, my follower hit my ship with a pickaxe and after repairing the put she broke, the ship doesn't fly correctly...so I have to start over. They need to fix followers to not break your builds lol
I had a follower kill a scorpion right next to mine. 💥 Finding a safe parking space isn’t easy
Are you still able to place the lights and the balloons if you use the 4 trunks instead of the 2 small cabinets?
I haven’t tried it recently but there are a LOT more table and cabinet options added since I made this video so you can try other variants

How do you unlock the large car jack
It should unlock with the small car jack, when you place wooden rods in your inventory.
Some of my thrusters aren’t turning on at all, what have I done wrong?

Oh good! I'm guessing channel adjustments. Also going to Lobby or into a cave and then coming back out will fix MOST glitches.
Can it fly well in snow and dry biome?
I'm not sure if they have been making improvements or it's just my luck but the last few trips into the Frost it hasn't given me any trouble, even on the higher areas. The challenge is parking somewhere safe while you hunt and gather. Do NOT park on top of a cave!
why do I need battery if I used the simple wheels?
You should not need a battery, and there's nowhere to put a battery. The thrusters don't need any fuel. It's LEGO Magic, I guess 🤷♂️😜
Im bulding this thing tonite ima go on in 30mins my cars wont move after the update plus they use batteries so its better a truster flying vehicle its free 🤡
This jetpack is so much better imho. No obstacles or enemies to deal with in the air, yet. Just have to find a safe landing spot, and mark it with a Marker or place a bed so you can see your respawn point next to it
just spent all my time building this to just accidentaly press e while flying and loose the whole thing fml

Is anybody else having a problem where thrusters one and three aren’t working at all
I only had NO thrusters work a couple times. Sometimes it’s the server and you just need to go to lobby and back in
@@llamarage I fixed it apparently all I have to do was destroy the thruster And put it back on at a different angle
It's not standing still like yours mine in my world always tilt to to front or the back and somehow it's heavier than yours idk why ?
I used same parts
Try going to lobby and coming back, or entering a cave and exiting. We have the same issue sometimes. Well, that's just scratching the surface. We had 3 airships float into the air way above our village and it took a few resets to get them to come back down. Another still won't come back down. It's LEGO!

Sorry about that! They keep tweaking everything in this game, hopefully in an attempt to get things more stable, but it sure seems to just keep making things worse. I've built a few recently that have worked great, but another in a fairly new World (Expert) appears messed up, but still flies fine)
