However he won the US case against amber herself (in which she was a party, instead of a witness, which did make some large changes in discovery). Amber was found guilty of defamation by calling herself a victim of domestic (and sexual) abuse. Which includes her lying and being found guilty of malicious intend. Essentially clearing JD of those charges (if he did beat her, then she wouldn't be lying and there would likely be evidence of the alleged beatings), hence AH could not be found guilty of malice, and would have won the case. Ambers countersuit (which she won) was only pertaining to what JDs lawyer said, regarding a specific incident (in which he claimed that AH and some of her friends were setting up JD), which didn't have enough evidence to be treated as possible. She lost countersuit on a similar statement though...

Absolutely justified. Disney dragged his reputation through the mud by firing him before there was any concrete evidence found or verdict made. The least Disney can do is offer an official apology and admit that they made a mistake, it’s what you‘d expect of an adult, especially one in charge of a multi million / billion dollar company. But I have my doubts and fears about the Disney leadership. I‘m not convinced they are interested in doing the right thing, neither as a group of adults nor as leaders of a company. Okay, how did they do anything at the time wrong? The only reason Disney fired him was because they wanted to play it safe. Think about this: We didn't know much of what we'd find out in 2018, so a number of people were behind Heard compared to Depp. Now that the truth came out, the roles have been reversed. Hell, many women welcomed Depp into their midst after the trial ended, after what was revealed during the trial was revealed. So, do I think Disney did wrong? At the time in 2018? Not really. Think about it: What would've happened if they kept him, but it was revealed that Heard was telling the truth. Disney would be put on full blast for keeping him on the project(s) he was involved in. They didn't want that to happen, in the event it would happen, so they fired him to protect themselves from any possible public backlash at the time. Should Disney apologize? Maybe. As long as Depp understands they only fired for the reasons I mentioned, then they might come to, at least, business related terms again.

Essentially clearing JD of those charges (if he did beat her, then she wouldn't be lying and there would likely be evidence of the alleged beatings), hence AH could not be found guilty of malice, and would have won the case.
Ambers countersuit (which she won) was only pertaining to what JDs lawyer said, regarding a specific incident (in which he claimed that AH and some of her friends were setting up JD), which didn't have enough evidence to be treated as possible. She lost countersuit on a similar statement though...

Captain Jack Sparrow has won the public since Curse of the Black Pearl. When the sequel came out, EVERYONE talked about Johnny Depps performance and how much they love the character. Johnny has had issues with drugs and alcohol but he didn’t lie about it on the stand. His ex wife however was using drugs and drinking as well and didn’t own up to it on the stand. He was very transparent in court because he had no reason to lie and had people testify on his behalf about what a stand up man he is. Amber lied so much that it was hard to keep up with her lies. She even lied about the damn makeup she used which turned out to not have even been made during their marriage!! Anyone who stands up for Amber is a foul fool because as we clearly heard from the audio recordings she was the abuser. She admitted to hitting him and then starts belittling him about it. She is an awful hateful person who only wants to lie, cheat and steal to get what she wants. Disney needs to get down on their knees and apologize to him and beg him to come back!

Yeah. I don't watch movies just because it has a disney logo on it. But you can bet your mamma that i'll watch any movie that has Johnny Depps name on the front.
Without apology, Disney will take another hit on their reputation. And lately they have taken a lot of hits. Being systematically racist towards irish and redheads in general. Being openly gay supporting while holding back on trans support. The whole deal here with johnny depps and many other big actors that they try to smudge reputation on... Yeah disney needs to show that they ACTUALLY care. And not just pretends to care. If the rest of us can wait the trial out to make any assumptions. So can Disney.

Okay, how did they do anything at the time wrong?
The only reason Disney fired him was because they wanted to play it safe. Think about this: We didn't know much of what we'd find out in 2018, so a number of people were behind Heard compared to Depp.
Now that the truth came out, the roles have been reversed. Hell, many women welcomed Depp into their midst after the trial ended, after what was revealed during the trial was revealed.
So, do I think Disney did wrong? At the time in 2018? Not really. Think about it: What would've happened if they kept him, but it was revealed that Heard was telling the truth. Disney would be put on full blast for keeping him on the project(s) he was involved in.
They didn't want that to happen, in the event it would happen, so they fired him to protect themselves from any possible public backlash at the time.
Should Disney apologize? Maybe. As long as Depp understands they only fired for the reasons I mentioned, then they might come to, at least, business related terms again.
They should just replace him with someone better and less creepy
Johnny is my favorite actor of all time, and Jack sparrow is likewise my favorite character, if they make a movie without him in it, it will completely miss the whole essence of pirates of the Caribbean. I can’t imagine any of the movies without him, he’s the sole reason theyre some of my favorite movies

I boycotted it around 30 minutes into the 3rd one. Not even Disney has the money to pay me enough to watch Pirates of the Carribean 6 whether it stars Johnny Depp or the second coming of Christ. I wouldn't intentionally subject anyone who has any taste to such treatment. That's inhumane.
@@cor144 It's gotten stale and the writing keeps getting worse. The last installment Dead Men Tell No Tales was the lowest-grossing of the series in the US (though it still made money overseas esp Asia). Disney is working on spinoffs.

I will literally never watch anything without him that was meant for him. He IS Jack sparrow, he gave that character CHARACTER, he gave Jack essence and meaning. The characters he played will NEVER be replaced by anyone as he is truly one of a kind, he doesn’t just play he literally gives life to the characters, they don’t even feel like actors it feels like a real person, at times you even forget that it’s him just playing a part.
Don't worry, not another soul on the planet can make that character work.
