It wasn't mentioned until the end, but it is a good idea for the car to be sitting on perfectly level garage floor so the front and rear of the top will be perfectly aligned while making these mounting bracket adjustments. If the car is sitting in a twist when the front brackets are tightened down, they will never be correct when the car is level going down the road and could cause issues.
Hi yes I’m having troubles here I purchased a new targa top from Astro 4 And apparently I don’t have the right front brackets, my corvette is an 85’ with the cones And the roof brackets that came with my New roof are for a newer model . Should I return the top or am i able to do some adjustments ??

Thank you! Glad the video was helpful. As far as the rattling goes start by making sure all the hardware (front plates and rear locator brackets) are tight. Sometimes they just become loose. Also check the bushings in the rear locator brackets on the roof. The center are attach bolts go through this bushing. if the bushing fell out due to wear or age that would also cause a rattle. @@melroset-top9139 do you ever recommend using felt on the roof frame to help make it quieter, particularly when you hit bumps on the road? (hardware is already tight) My 1994 has some felt on both sides of the front part of the frame; not sure it's good or doing anything for me, roof can be pretty noisy depending on the bumps.

Question: my painted panel front bolts gets loose even after driving 5-10 minutes.... any suggestions?
