I just did this. Didn't need to remove the brackets from the engine bay. Move the whole assembly to the right (driver side) which seems counter intuitive. Then the passenger side will pop up. You have to rotate the motor to the rear (windshield) for this to work. Don't get mad, it comes out, just be methodical!
What I would like for you to do is find out (and tell us) how to replace the Non-Standing Wiper Arms with another set of Wiper Arms that WILL stay up by themselves.
Can you tell me what the white canister looking thing on the passenger side of the motor compartment is? My Cherokee takes on water when rains and I want to find out if that has something to do with it.
I would love to see how to replace the bushings on an XJ wiper assembly, especially if it can be done without removing the motor and arms. My bushings are shot, and the wipers go too far on some swipes, with no rhyme or reason. I have read write-ups, but without video I just cant tell what I'm supposed to do. This video is very helpful though.
I have a leak on my passages floor, it's not the heater core so I believe it's leaking from the air duct under the cal in the passager side. Any idea how to fix
ant b : I had the same issue a few years ago and the drain hole, near the fender, was plugged. I just cleaned it out with a piece of stiff wire (coat hanger, welding rod, .046 or .062 safety wire, rebar tie wire will work). I haven't had any problems since. And we've had almost 20" of rain, so far, this month.
I just got an 88 jeep Cherokee and the wipers work but are very slow even on the "high" speed. How do I know if the motor is wore out or the actuator arm I think is what it's called is bad I don't want to replace something I don't need to thanks in advance for any information
@@Heywoodjablowme420 lol well I've had jeep lit while now and have watched many videos! Check out Bleein Jeep and get on a Cherokee group forum. I've learned a good bit. Wipers are not fun! Still not done mine yet. It's probably the motor and wiper assembly. Watch some videos on how you replace it. Hope you are a patient person lol.
Bro some guy was leaning on the xj messing with my stock radio antenna and broke the radio antenna thread in place .Ive looked for videos on this and no progress. Can you help me out?
1996 xj , I've seen videos of people taking off the wiper blade, they take the nut off(PC Blaster) , then suddenly they are opening the back panel of the lift gate ,then they fiddle with the wiper motor ,But never show how they got the bezel off much less if they broke it off needed seal it back or even if they even had to open up the panel of the lift gate at all.
I own a 93 grandcherokee Laredo and am having trouble with my wipers I already switched the motor cuz I had one but it didnt do anything and I cant find the fuse that's supposed to go to it
great video! do you know of any videos on how to remove the wiper delay relay? I haven't been able to find any good videos on how to remove the actual relay. I can only seem to find videos of people re soldering the module after it is already out.
bummer! yeah my intermittent wipers went out and now the wipers don't park back in the home position. They just stop wherever they happen to be at on the windshield. Looks like I'll just have to do some poking around.
I am having an issue on my 1992 jeep Cherokee 4.0 related to the windshield wipers. Randomly they will turn on and then I have to turn the windshield wiper switch to the on position, then back to the off position. They will stay off for a few seconds, sometimes a few minutes, but then they will randomly turn back on. anyone know what I would need to do to fix this? I cannot find any help on this. I have a video showing this issue on my TH-cam channel if you want to watch it to see what I am talking about.
Hoping someone may be able to help me. I have a 98 Cherokee and when washing the jeep (only time it seems to do it) my wiper will start going off by them self. They will continue to do this for days until it drys out. They are only on when the key is forward but I can not find what is getting wet. Anyone who has some insight please feel free to comment. Looking for all suggestions right now. Im not sure but im 75% sure its something under the fender well causing this.

Thank you! This also saved me a ton of time and headaches 👑👑
These videos always come out whenever i need them... regulators went bad the day you posted that video and my wipers went out last night
sweet, I must have ESP!
It was fun watching you struggle getting the assembly out lol. I had to pull mine twice cause of a mistake so I felt your pain.
could you do a video about adjusting your wiper so it goes farther covers more area has longer wingspans do you get it
Awesome! I emailed you asking about this a few months ago. This would have been helpful back then haha

Hey Matt is there a fuse on my 99 Cherokee wiper motor system?

Looks easier than removing the oil pan for a rear main seal fix lol, it was a pain in the ass getting that oil pan off…..

Most important part of the directions he's not telling you is DON'T kneel on the hood of the jeep while doing this. (Unless it's already a pile)
Why not?

Does a 97 motor fit a 92 Jeep?
thank you

Take care about car paint
It's a Jeep - dont care!
Okay how many people left a screw in so they yanked
I was wondering if you can scratch up the hood some more ???
My wipers haven't worked in 3 months lolll worst winter EVER
I was going to say be careful and try not to scratch your hoods paint but geez... You seem to be a careless guy anyway
do you believe me if i said ... my xj wiper broken down after watching this video !!!
seven jobs yes cause it happened to me too 😂
