Rubber Flat Mats are out Dated and 3D Mats are in !! Easy to maintain !!
Putting on and removing the car cover would lead to find scratches on the body !!

If your Polo has side airbags (which are stored in the front seats and deploy from there)... you should not put seat covers on, as the seat covers will hinder the deployment of the airbags in a crash

+shankar raju the next gen Polo is expected only in 2019. It is based on a new platform and it is more than 4 metres in length. If VW releases without any modifications, it will cost double than the existing Polo as it would not get tax benefits in India. So it is not expected anytime soon. Please go for the current generation Polo GT TSI. It is an awesome car...

sir i have purchased vw polo comfortline but i cant fold the exterior mirror on both side it is having trouble.. is it electrically adjustable?
+Raja the Outside rear view mirrors in Comfortline are manually foldable. Only the adjustment of the mirrors are electrical. You have to manually fold the mirror. If you have trouble in folding the mirror, please take it to the workshop.

Is the 3 cylinder TSI engine reliable in the long term? Why did you not select the GT DSG model as Allstar price comes close to a GT ? Is the TDI engine better than TSI ?

2. I didn't select the GT TSI with DSG as it is priced 2 lakhs higher than the Allstar in India.
3. Both TDI & TDI are good engines

+Zabi ulla The handrest inbetween the seats comes Factory fitted in the Polo Allstar Variant. It is an adjustable handrest that can be folded. Also, we can open it to store our mobile phones and wallet.
Dilip..I am trying to install a reverse camera for existing stock head unit, please advice if you have any inputs regarding the same
+sudhakar k I asked VW dealer regarding the installation of Reverse Camera. But the dealer told me we have to change the existing touch screen unit with the new one for adding a reverse camera. They quoted me a price of Rs. 55000/- for adding a reverse camera and new touch screen unit. As it seemed to be very expensive I dropped the idea of adding a reverse camera. I thought we can do it at a cheaper rate in a third party accessory shop. But I haven't done it yet. If you find any cheaper alternative please share the details. Thank you.
Dilip, you can get the reverse camera working with the same HU, no need to change the HU.
All you need is following:
1. RVC connector
2. Rear View Camera
3. Delay timer
Follow this thread to get this done with the same HU and with minimum investment, don't know why VW is charging you 55k for such small thing.

+Mahesh Nair no. I didn't compare the prices. That's the mistake I have done. We must always compare prices before buying a new car.
Ok, just wanted to know if these dealers are selling the accessories at much higher rates. Actually in metros there is lot of competition in accessories market. You may get quality products at a very competitive price. These dealers sell accessories for higher rates and on top of that we have to pay additional tax.

Both the petrol and Diesel are available in 4 variants - Trendline, Comfortline, Highline and Highline Plus...

+Nilesh Navale it is the Volkswagen make car cover. I bought it directly from the Volkswagen dealer. It is available with all Volkswagen dealers and workshops. I don't think it is available online. It is known as 'Volkswagwen genuine car cover'. It fits superbly and doesn't even come off in heavy wind or rain.
I do not think, Dealers in Pune sell such cover.

There is no word from VW India regarding the release date of the new sixth generation Polo. As it is based on a new platform, it will take atleast one more year to setup the manufacturing facilities. So there is no point in waiting for the new version in my opinion. If you are interested in buying a Polo GT TSI, just get it right now. It is an awesome car and it will be of the same price throughout the year. It is the only car in the VW India line up that sells without any discount...

It costs the same as comfortline. Check whether it's available with the nearest VW dealer. It was available last month. It is limited edition, so availability might be an issue...

Just keep rolling the cover inwards from the rear of the car while removing and fold it totally in uniform fashion and while unfolding, just place the rolled cover on the roof or around front windshield and keep rolling it back all the way and tuck it at the bottom. Lots of videos on TH-cam.

Asif Ali The Driver arm rest comes Factory fitted in Polo Allstar. Also, at the backside of the Driver arm rest, there are rear a/c vents.

1. No. The GT TDI Sport doesn't have the rear AC vent and driver arm rest.
2. GT TDI needs to be serviced once in 15000 km. The service cost ranges from Rs.15000/- to 17000/- inclusive of taxes.

+rockcovers In the owners manual, it is mentioned that this model comes with cornering lights. But, I have checked thoroughly and I couldn't demonstrate the working of cornering lights. It must be faulty in my car. After getting it fixed, I will make a video.

+shankar raju 1. If you are a driving enthusiast, then go for the Polo GT TSI. It is equipped with a DSG which is the best Automatic gearbox. Polo GT TSI is a driver's car.
2. If you want more rear seat space, go for the Honda Jazz Automatic which has a CVT. It is a practical family car.
Choose it based on your requirements. My personal choice would be the Polo GT TSI

What mileage you are getting in city?
I get only 10 kmpl in city
I get around 14 in heavy to medium running traffic in city, around 11-12 in bumper to bumper and 16-17 even 18 during no rush with in city.
On highway I've got even 20kmpl on polo comfortline petrol.

+Gershom Sudarson both are exactly share Exactly the same Interiors and build quality. Everything is the same except the boot. Another one small difference is that the Ameo has a reverse camera while the Polo doesn't.
Please get the car whichever design appeals you the most. It is not possible to choose one as a best as both are very similar.

I booked ameo TDi, bt very confused between ameo, polo, amaze diesel variants.
+Gershom Sudarson VW is good in build quality, very good interiors and accurat steering. No car is good in every aspects. It has it own pros and cons.
When it comes to cons, the rear seat is cramped and only two can sit comfortably in long trips. General maintenance cost is marginally higher compared to other cars. If maintained and handled properly, it would not be a big deal. But if not maintained properly, repair charges will be high as spare parts of VW are expensive.
If you like the Ameo, you can go for it. My opinion is never listen to your friends while booking a new car... It causes all confusions. You are going to drive and you should carefully select your car. Imagine you listen to your friends and book a car they like. Afterwards you don't like the car after delivery... You will end up in huge loss.

seat cover without air pockets is a bad idea, in the middle for at least a feet it should have either raised or lowered leather so that at least some air circulation is there. still it'll be extremely uncomfortable on a long drive. Normal seat with cotton seat cover is more comfortable than these swanky and uncomfortable seat covers this is my experience. my be others might think swanky is better.

I am quoting the important bits:
"Got the speed restriction of Mirrorlink modified. I came across this link by the Russian folks who were able to do the same. Somehow managed to understand (from the translated English) that the guy changed the value of Channel 36 (which has the max value in km/h beyond which Mirrorlink cuts off the HU display) to something higher to get it working while driving. As I did not have a laptop with me to check the same, I met up with BHPian highwaypatrol to check his issue with Mirrorlink not showing all phone apps. Unfortunately, we couldn't do anything to make that work. But we did compensate that with lot of other VCDS stuff including this one.
From the control module list, selected Radio and under Adaptation, read Channel no: 36. The value was set as 6 from factory. We changed it to 50 initially and went out for a drive to confirm. And it turned out to be the right one. The HU display went blank just as the speed went above 50km/h. It came back when the speed was below 50km/h. Changed the value to 200 finally. Google navigation and other apps work like a charm even when the car is in motion. "

outside you could've brought the same seat covers at half the price. and 2000 for those thin door beads is just criminal. and my God with those 2500 RS you paid for those horrible looking rubber matts you couldve purchased a decent quality 3d Matt. And that car cover won't last you over a year without wear. Never buy anything from showrooms apart from parts that directly affects performance or safety of the vehicle. The keychain that sells for 500 RS at the showroom sells for 50 RS at normal retailers. it's just that price of accessories is way way inflated at car showrooms.

1. 2500 for that small line is too much.
2. Non-Leather Seat covers for 14,000. Not worth it.
3. A car cover is not necessary to be mentioned.
4. Rubber Floormats are Super Dangerous, hundreds of accidents happen due to this. It will get stuck on the Accelerator Pedal.
5. Phone mount will definitely distract you from the road. Not a good practice.
