@@boxman_ninja0819 Wait..... From when you are saying..They give him the points before he does the pass...(The time I mentioned is after the time your mentioned) How did they know he was going to do it before he did it?. Wouldn't it make more sense to give him the points when he actually does it.🤔
@@1JacKaL1984 He didn't even pass at the time you mentioned. He passed at 2:19 and lost it around the time you mentioned. They awarded the points
How did vinny lose to Craig Jones when he performed so well against Gordon Ryan??
That's Bjj. You never know what will happen.
Vinny let Jones basically throw on a heel hook thinking his flexibility would save him.
It didn't....
i hope i could get some lessons from vinny..i go to 50/50 with an above average leglocker and i just tap by default.
Me too. I’ve got to go to work next day. No messing around with knees and ankles for me, lol.
Gordon Ryan didn't look all that great🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
no he didn't, looked a little fat too

He played the same game he always plays. Sits into half butterfly, looks for scissor sweep, dummy sweep, or inside sankaku. It's just that Vinny knows how to stuff all of that, and Vinny's wrestling is better so Gordon had no chance to implement his top game. Gordon is still a badass tho.
Vinny won but points, not a sub. That isn't a winner. We all know what happened with Garry Tonon vs Vagner Rocha when it was sub only.
Roddy Yang totally wrong bro , he won by points and he shut down the leg lock attempts that's a win in its self and I think that was vinny's plan from the start
Gordon was not super saiyan level yet in this fight right?
Now that's called position before engagement. ...defensive vinny nothing more
....position ...and very well Base
how did Gordon lose? i didnt see any tap?
cause lose
Point match no subs needed control the positions pass guards get takedowns and you earn points
Let's run it again!!
Amazing to think Gordon hadn't even really trained under Danaher yet and how much he's improved since this match. The 12/15/2022 rematch is gonna be a no-contest. Sorry Vinny lol.
Gordon has a BIG MOUTH, good job Vinny!
And an 80% finish rate..
what were they scoring? I didn't see a guard pass or anyting... they really need to punish people for scooting around on their ass
I never gave Vinny a hope in this match
Vinny didn't deserve the 2 points , He was fleeing and reytrating from Gordon Ryan like Devil from Cross .
So defense beats offense . Based on points. Weird.
Hayabusa...
I don't even follow BJJ that much, and even I'm aware that Vinny is a stud. He's been doing it a long time, too.
Wont hapoen any more he has grown so much
Vinny surely won the match but he was stalling and did a great job of defending those leg lock entries and creating pressure, Gordon was the more aggresive out of the two.
lol stalling??? someone who was trying to pass guards? I think Gordon was the one who was fk stalling lying on the ground during the entire match. These Gordon' fan boys are like Conor's fan boys lol out of countrol
could not have said it any better.
I was a fan of Vinny. Lost a lot of respect stalling like a bitch. Go out on your shield and try for a sub.
Lmao it's BJJ bruh not a fight
Dude come on go back and watch. Gordon is on bottom giving a beast like vinny the top game the whole time. He tried a million times to enter attacks but vinny simply backs out or stalls by dropping his weight and back ing out. They are both highly skilled and a guy with that talent decides to back out he will. He did not force the action. He did not engage. He was in full side control with Gordon not even trying to get out and went for nothing.
Vinny, the best!👍
Anybody else notice the Russian commentators were talking about subs and the American guys were talking about the mat.
Parabéns Guerreiro, você fez história!!!!
Leg locks 💤💤💤 Eddie Cummings takes them to another level 💤💤💤💤💤
That recovery from Vinny though 7:41
this puts vinny on top of the danaher death squad
Dude won by points, not a sub. Garry Tonon vs Vagner Rocha...says it all.
Roddy Yang doesn't matter man, Gordon couldn't use the team's best move and vinny shot it down with ease.
+Roddy Yang roddy yang WHO WON? vinny did. end of story. vinny dod what all other champions couldn't do. beat ryan. Next. .....
+Roddy Yang well that was vagner rocha. this is vinny malhaes.
+Roddy Yang well that was vagner rocha. this is vinny malhaes. he won
Very simple what happened here, you see Gordon's gear has nothing on Vinnie's Brazilian supplements.
This is what happens when you only focus on 50% of the human body (legs) you forget what to do when they pass your gaurd...
Nonsense, gordon has a fully rounded game but at elite level all grappplers focus on their high percentage strategies.gordon is still very young in bjj
@@scarred10 when Gordon tried to escape side control he wanted to turn his back,he wanted to turn facing away from opponent.I was like wtf never turn your back to opponent. Its like beginners mistake.Just what I noticed, maybe im wrong.
@@bigb00tyslayer20 you're wrong.
@@regularape Yea his wrong because Gordon Ryan wouldn't be in the position his in today if didn't know what he was doing. That's my opinion
I thought Gordon was 30 something
Комментаторы шикарные))))
Point JJ is so annoying. I like Eddie Bravo's tournament more.
Gordon had been training for like 3 years here lol.

Grapplers Quest: World Championship (Teen -170 lbs)
GR's shot attempts look a Jr. High JV kid's.
They don't have shoes on. They can't grip canvas. Its really hard to shoot like a wrestler ion that matt with no shoes ,,,much experience. Also a GR uses that to simply engage he doesn't care if he is taken down in a fight to him it doesn't matter no points and thats where he believes he's best on bottom.
I agree, it's hard to shoot barefoot on a sweaty mat, even with shoes. Just stating a gnarly double would be a good tool for the tool box. I'm well aware he doesn't give a shit what I think though.
Looks to me like a good takedown or a good butterfly guard arm drag would have made a world of difference for Gordon Ryan
Pq q ele ficou pistola?
Brasileiro é brasileiro Bjj ta no sangue
Does he have any submission other than leg, foot locks? Boring fight
Awesome¡ ACBJJ¡

Vinny aint SHIT and has been a black belt 10 years more than Gordon, he came with a especific surviving strategy. There is a reason he never wanted a rematch with Gordon
Sitting down and butt scooting should be an automatic 2 points to the opponent. Why are competitors not punished for purposefully denying their opponent takedown points through a cheap move? It also makes the sport less entertaining.
I think they should be allowed to go for an active guard pull, like jumping closed guard or swing down into half guard.no just sitting down.
Valeu Vinni féis oque o André Galvão não féis!
Never been a Ryan fan. Always thought he was a bit boring outside of scrambles.
That guy Finny Magalaesshh!!!
Magalyaish*
Thats how u pronounce it
Fagalaesh
Cyborg: you are not a bum you are not vinny magalhaes
Vinny did an excellent job passing and also shutting down all Gordon's leg locks..he had some slick ones from butterfly to no avail
Gordon is 22 years old fucking hell.
И молчание👏👏👏
But these attacks from butterfly though.
Коментирование явно не наше, сколько смотрю - бред и отсебятина
Didn't think vinny would have a hope
vinny ever finished anyone?
Vinny Magalhaes, you fucking hespect da da lecklocks, hokay?
I just came here to prove that leg locks don't work
БИДЖЫДЖЫ это звучит что надо в начале.... комментаторы режут слух очень сильно
As a jj practioner I see why ordiary ppl don't care for this.. like watching two grown men foreplay, making love
It looks absolutely ridiculous they need to punish people for lollygagging around in the guard
-3 points for pulling guard or at least score it as a takedown
Vinny was so defensive mode. He barely mounted any offence. Except a few pass attempts. Super conservative not taking any risks. Not really willing to engage Ryans guard game. Ryan looked physically sluggish and slow out there. Why was he just casually trying to force stuff.
Is it a known fact that Gordon is on steroids or are people just Hating on him
Allegations. Though I’m 50/50 on it. He’s wealthy so gaining weight with personal trainer is very possible, but the hard work that goes into it seems like he wouldn’t have time for bjj.
It was a quick transformation for sure BUT, maybe just lots of pre exhaust lifting, powerlifting with circuits, super sets, supplements, enormous protein intake??? Jury is still out
Nome disso é mais medo de perder do que vontade de ganhar
Jiu-jitsu tá diferente por isso
I knew Gordon Before Bjj
