It's actually really smart not to make your presence known. You can observe your subjects in their natural habitat without them being defensive, allowing you to do whatever you want without interference and if you have malevolent intentions, you have the element of surprise. Odds are we're not the first planet they've been to. They've likely done this enough times to know what works.

I feel like if it's Aliens they are watching over us, the things we experiment with might be bad for the universe. To use Anti Gravity we would need a thing called anti matter, what if one day whatever that's being worked on can't be controlled. And boom. Everything we know would cease to exist. Just messing with time could be bad too, traveling at near light speed you undergo time dilation, faster than light speed all time stops for you. I remember watching video on Hawking radiation I think it was called, it somehow effects black holes and makes them die. I'm too stupid to explain it it's been years since I saw the video but I feel like black holes might be a natural thing of the universe, it's how we restart the universe once everything gets sucked into these black holes, and maybe these black holes could have entire universes inside of them. We could be inside one and not even know it. There's one at the center of our Galaxy.

And we may possibly have came to existence with their help too. Either way, to study something intelligent, and to let them progress on their own, you must do it without them knowing.
The proof is undeniable. I can say 100% that I've seen enough evidence to know that there are aliens, whether from a different world or dimension, are here and observing us with UFOs, and most likely have been for a long long time. There are plenty of newspaper articles about people seeing UFOs in the 1800's and early 1900's. This isn't new, and it is most certainly not us. Well, we may have reverse engineered it and may be piloting some, but originally, none of them were us.

It’s really annoying when people say something about UAP doesn’t make sense because they didn’t act how they expect something intelligent to act. To draw conclusions how a foreign intelligence would act is the ridiculous thing. We have no clue how any intelligence other than human would act. We don’t know if they would be confrontational, timid, curious, loving, emotional, emotionless, we don’t know any of that. So let’s not act like just because UAP’s don’t do what we think they should, that it must all be fake. And that’s merely if you’re looking at it from a non-human intelligence standpoint. Let’s say it’s human intelligence, that’s trying to be kept under wraps. Even from the world’s governments. Of course they’d want to keep them hidden. And theoretically, there have been tests in the past concerning stealth vehicles, in populated areas to see if the general public could see them or not. Why wouldn’t that be the case here? We can’t go into this assuming we know everything about the nature of these phenomena. We don’t. That’s why they are unidentified, and that’s what makes them anomalous.

I love actors who consider themselves experts on the psychology and behavior of non-human intelligences, on their origin and technology, and on their understanding of physics.
These non-human intelligences could be anything. They could be spacefaring nomads who abandoned their home planet or moon a billion years ago or time travelers who do not want to disrupt the present day any more than they have to.
Hell, William Shatner is best known for a show that advanced the notion of a "prime directive," a precept, which expressly forbade advanced civilizations interfering with the maturing of nascent ones.

They’re valid just the same.

I know starship captains in the series had a tendency to "forget" about the directive when it was convenient but that takes the cake.

See, the “fish” aren’t really fish, they’re us. And they’re talking about how something from another place wouldn’t spend all of the time and resources to go aaaaaall the way down into the ocean. But they don’t get why people do that! Funny, right? Anyway, they’re wrong, people do go all the way down there just to look around because they’re so curious. Regardless of whether we agree with his opinion on UFOs, what an amazing clarity of mind William Shatner has at 92 years old. Right or wrong, the sharp mind of his, is impressive. He speaks of eternity, I just hope I get to live to be 90. Many who harshly criticize him will not live that long.

When we (our biologists or scientists) go study potentially dangerous animals in their natural environment...we use cameras and surveillance equipment from a distance, we disguise ourselves in camo, we construct devices specifically to blend into their environment and we don't get involved when 'nature takes its course' or intervine when they attack or kill other creatures and yet we somehow think this concept with potentially more intelligent and advanced 'aliens' is not something they may be doing too? 🙄 😂
