I received this mini air fryer for Christmas and have tried it out. So far, I am impressed with the results. Tonight, I had a pre-cooked dinner for warm up. I had two sausages one hash brown patty and mini carrots with green beans. I really have to say it was amazingly delicious. The hash brown patty was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The two sausages were also crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside. For the vegetables, I only needed to top with a little butter. What can I say... I do enjoy sausages and I have seen where cooking them in the air fryer is not as satisfactory as other meats. I always purchase a flat of about 10 sausages and bake them in my regular oven until they are cooked (165 degrees). I let them cool then put them into my labelled container for the freezer. When I want to have a sausage, I thaw, cut into chunks and add sweet peppers and mushrooms that have been marinated. I am looking forward to trying this in my air fryer. Wha do you think? Will my sausage chunks, peppers and mushrooms cook okay in my mini air fryer?
Certainly! Cooking sausage chunks along with your marinated sweet peppers and mushrooms in a mini air fryer sounds like a great idea. The air fryer should cook them evenly and add a nice crispiness. Just make sure not to overcrowd the basket, and give it a shake halfway through for even cooking. Since your sausages are already pre-cooked and then thawed, they won't need too much time - just enough to heat through and get a nice exterior. Enjoy your meal!
I appreciate the real, and thorough review by a real person! Thank you especially for going over the cleaning aspect- that's most important for me with devices that promise to save you time but don't factor in how tricky they are to clean...
I’m considering this for my motorhome. I’m just a bit concerned about a plastic tab breaking on the basket. Someone said it’s a major flaw in this post.
I would avoid this air fryer. It has a bit of a major flaw. There is a little plastic tab on the basket. When the basket is inserted into the main unit, this plastic tab clicks in and pushes up a switch. The switch when pushed in is what allows the air fryer to be turned on for use. @2:54 you can see this plastic tab on the left side of the basket nearest the bottom of the screen. You can kind of see it sticking up. This tab breaks very easily and usually lasts about 6 months. Once the tab is broken you cannot power on or use the air fryer. Cosori is good about replacing the air fryer, but this will continue to happen until it is out of warranty. Probably best to pass on this one.
Loved your honest take on this.
This review made my decision easier. Thanks!
