***** I got the 1/144 FA Gundam just because the boxart impressed me. I knew the kit wasn't gonna be any good, but damn, does that box look great on my wall.
The crotch is so anime accurate thanks to the crappiness of the 70's drawing style and perspective. But these droopy shoulders, what were they thinking?
Thanks for the review Kakarot! I always appreciate you doing these reviews for older kits, as I am always on the lookout for cheap old kits because I would like to try my hand at painting.
Ah, the GM, probably my favourite Non-Gundam-MS of all time. I just love Earth Forces Grunts. All the GMs, Daggers, Leos, Genoaces and stuff like that out there... I don't know why, but something about those things just makes me love them :D
You know how in some games, certain sprites lose their detail and look very generic or look very crude and unpolished? This GM looks like it ran too far and left the detailed draw distance. 😂 However... It is an antique. Gunpla really did come a long way, and it had to start somewhere. 🤷♂️
this looks a little better than the Zaku and Gundam do, at least. The proportions seem a bit better, it's closer to the anime than them in that regard.
it's not loose, the limbs are an action feature. It's shaking in fear of the Big Zam.
Lol
Lmao
Gunpla has come such a long way...
I love the proportions of old kits. You pretty much get these old kits for the very artsy boxart and the wacky proportions.
Yeah, back when the boxart was a million times better than the actual kit. Especially the MSVs have really awesome boxarts.

Cool, any particular interest in 1 of the old 1/100 Real Type models?
***** Am a fan of the grunt suites, I am thinking of doing a custom paint job.

Better articulation than seed 1/144 no grades
the retro look of the open hands is fantastic
I've always wanted Bandai to release a series of animation error kits... little did I know, that's how they started. 😂
lmao
Now it makes sense to me why the old Gundam Wing kits were making a big deal about "no glue required"

it's absolutely better than the Gundam, but because of the shoulders I'd say that the Zaku II is a bit more accurate proportion wise
this thing is adroable.
Reminds me of a Basic Grade..
Fuckin' 80's man
Pretty much useful for putting a hole into it for a diarama with the mg Z'Gok commander type
nice review, and the old gunpla give a vintage kit look like.
Need to get that MG GM 2.0 for comparison :D.
just mod the hell out of it
Something about the proportions and cartoony simplicity of this design give it a kitsch appeal for me.
Hey at least its a ver KA
Yes this is a joke about its long legs
700 yen! I could learn to draw!
This kit is what it is. Too bad that its so outdated by today's standarts.
hahahahaha
