Ambient Modular | Feb 27 | Tides v2 | Ataraxic Iteritas | Elements

It's been a while since I've posted a video! I've been experimenting with sequencer-less eurorack. There's something fun and freeing about modulating the pitch and development yourself. Whether this type of creation is a foundational layer for a whole track, or if it becomes a track in itself is up to the creator. I can easily imagine improvised piano or a Kontakt orchestra over top of this.
There are 3 audible voices:
1/ Mutable Instruments Tides v2 (in math/divider mode) running into Magneto. A sine LFO modulates the volume. Pitch set by Intellijel Tetrapad (root). The important thing here is that the 3rd voice (2nd output) has been removed because the major/minor 3rd isn't in key.
2/ Noise Engineering Ataraxic Iteritas into G-Storm Pro VCF also into Magneto. Pitch set by Intellijel Tetrapad (fifth).
3/ Mutable Instruments Elements into Intellijel Rainmaker. It's being struck by 3 different clocks.
The primary operations I'm performing are:
Adjusting volume of all voices to create subtle changes over time
Changing pitch/chord every so often
Changing shift on Tides, which alters which harmonic division it's playing
Changing the smoothness on Tides which alters the timbre, making it darker or brighter
Changing the comb filter, waveform, shape, and timemod on AI which alters the timbre
Adjusting volume of Bow and Blow on elements to change timbre over time
