Why is everyone sooooo fricking dripped on this game?????? I love it, can't wait to actually play it! I've been listening to this song (the other version tho) everyday to hype myself up!
Dude have you played Jet set radio future? It's hella fun! So this game has like some upbeat movement and maybe better framerate than jsrf did on xbox of course because of hardware acceleration but it makes it sooooo much more crisp and shows what jsrf coulda been if it had gone on to make another title. I'm super hyped myself! Yes everyone totally is dripped out.
Yeah I seriously hope this game actually does so well that 1, there will be a whole franchise, and 2, that Sega regrets how they've been treating JSR for years, I was getting fed up with just the Beat and Gum references or playable characters in other Sega games, because I knew that they just do that so the fans shut up so they can keep on milking Sonic. Edit: Btw I hope they actually release a new JSR game, that will be epic, but for right now, this is the closest thing to that. And I'm not complaining, this looks more fun gameplay wise than JSR and Future, no hate to those games I played them for hours.
Is it strange that you can feel (or hear) Hideki was WAY more passionate about both LLB and BRC over other games like HOVER? While HOVER was a nice game as a standalone, it never seriously captured that JSR soul like both LLB and this. Just his two tracks we've seen alone in this game, this and JACK DA FUNK; you can tell he was having a blast with it and put way more passion behind it, instead of just doing it like it's a job with the two tracks (Never4ever and HeavenUP) he did for HOVER. It might just be me though.
seeing this and looking at a early versions game is curious, you can see a early version of the secret zone of versum hill, a early version of brink terminal and even more interesting, the devil theory guys on millennium mall. the early ui of the game is also here, a different dialogue of vinyl on maatan and also in a different location. is really interesting to see the early stuff of the game.

Always been fascinated by how Hideki Naganuma manages to come up with this type of music, because I could not even imagine. Does he start with a sample, the melody or what? Still, huge respect for the man for still going strong after all these years. And big thanks to you for making this mix as we wait for August to show itself. Seriously feel like this is gonna be my favorite track by Hideki once I hear the full thing. It keeps inspiring me to make a similar track, but I ain't got the street smarts for this amount of sample tomfuckery...
I've seen how music producers create these masterpieces, and it usually progresses and evolves off the beat. They may add a melody and a sample here and there, and over time, they keep adding and removing things, but generally, the beat remains the same. The beat is the foundation of pretty much all music. The beauty of funky EDM tracks like this is you never finish it. You can decide to start or stop remixing a song anytime, and it'll keep evolving and changing. The principle is that Hideki has a particular taste in music that is very infectious. It's very easy to incorporate new samples and melodies to the rhythm of a track with the many audio studio applications available to us. All you really need is the genius to incorporate whatever inspiring samples come to mind onto a track. Hideki was born in the late 70's, so naturally, you hear a lot of older samples in his work, as well as new. It's very unique. I can honestly same the same about me. I aspire to make music like this, and I have so many ideas, but no motivation to actually apply them. I respect artists that make a living doing this. Even if it's easy for them, it ain't easy for me.
Oh, well it sounds like funk, disco & hip-hop remixed into a breakbeat. When JSR was released the trend was to use those same influences but in house music instead of breaks. It doesn't sound like this newer stuff is too drastically different to me.
Duuuude not only it feels like there's a few more instruments audible (no idea if it is because of the different speaker setup I got now) but also there's a handful of new sections I had not heard before

Sega is gonna be kicking themselves for not acknowledging Jsr with the respect it deserves.
Team Reptile has got my full respect.

I'll double dip. Gonna buy it on steam and xbox series x.
SEGA must've seen the graffiti on the wall, because at TGA, they revealed a *POWER SURGE* of Multiple New Games!
Came pretty close to how the actual song ended up being, great instinct!
3:26 I like the timing when the song ends the moment the throat is cut.
Thanks! Glad someone got that little detail
When it comes to Hideki's music, we all just can't GET ENUF
this is gonna be the modern "understand understand"
1:54 remains the best part
Imagine if this game's OST launched on a vinyl disc.
It would definitely, well, blow my mind
And if you throw it fast enough it'll decapitate a man' head
I need a cassette of it
if you buy the OST, vinylify will press the OST into an individual record for you. pricey, but possible.
Or in a CD jewel case, to really get that 2000's throwback.
Massively enamoured with this song, it just gets better with every parts of it that gets released.

Their imagination is too tiny.
Would to love see this in with JRSF Like It Like That (Alternate Mix)
I missed this era so much. I'm glad their finally back
Im hearing a few samples that Mr Naganuma also used in JGR.
Yo where's the extended part from? It sounds AMAZING but really gunked and watered down by all the background noises.
It's from the Japanese Nintendo direct trailer. Not the recent one
When the full game comes out with the full song are you gonna make a new one?
Nah it's already out imma just lay back and play the funky game bro
IS THIS OFFICIAL GAMEPLAY WILL IT HAVE FREE ROAM RHATS MY MAIN QUESTION
...yes...
The story reminds me of dorohedoro
Care to develop?
fanmade? maybe ai made? sounds good anyway ngl
Nah I'm not lazy like that, though sure the ai removed the vocals, but I arranged the audio clips together
