i usually draw the photo before watching the video, then i draw with you while listening. it helps me a lot to realize my mistakes, i think like "oh i should've done like this, it would be easier"

I am so happy I found you. I stopped doing art for about 8 years because my mental and physical health was so bad. I spent so long healing and now I am finally ready to start again. But, I found myself stuck and it is hard to pick up the pencil… I don’t know how to start. Watching this video reminded me of seeing things with an artist’s mind… and even though you were drawing, I was feeling it. You brought back the feeling of what it was like to draw and opened my mind again. This was soo beautiful to hear and made me realise that I should be spending as much time as possible drawing as I will never know when comes a time in my life when it will be significantly harder to do so.
The method of drawing the shoulders by using a box shape is amazing, makes it alot easier to visualize more than just 1 line!

2 years ago I started to draw with these tutorials I struggle a lot at the beginning but the key is consistency, now I do a lot of mistake but I have improve immensely.

I have begun to notice, that you're kind of like a reverse Kim Jong Gi. Instead of drawing straight from imagination without guidelines or reference, you instead use all the preparation and reference you can to achieve your goal.

조맹님 혹시 나중에 시간적 여유가 충분하실 때 스티로폼 공으로 된 얼굴 가이드 라인 만드신 과정이나 방법 좀 자세하게 영상으로 만들어주실 수 있으실까요..??ㅜㅜ
가운데 중심선 정할 때 가로 세로 몇 센치인지, 양쪽에 세로로는 어느정도 잘랐는지, 공 크기는 어느정도인지, 코는 어느정도 위치에 잡는지 등등..지점토로 된 얼굴 가이드를 만드시는 영상을 보았긴 하지만 지점토로 된 가이드보다는 개인적으로 스티로폼으로 된 가이드가 더 이해하기 수월한거 같아서요..😅 또 어려운 얼굴 형태를 그릴 때 직접 보고 참고하면 더 좋을 거 같아서 이렇게 여쭈어 봅니다..😁😁
