Grond they named it, in memory of the Hammer of the Underworld of old. Great beasts drew it, orcs surrounded it, and behind walked mountain-trolls to wield it.
No need to practice breaking a gate when you build a weapon that can honour the hammer of the underworlds very name
I really like the Apollo and Jackie together because It makes it seem like they are narrating over something like a sport love the collaboration

The battering ram used in the third age was named "Grond" not "Grom". It was named after the hammer used by Morgoth.
This reminds me of the time where it was a 2v3 Gondor defending and the knights of swans or whatever they’re called got so many kills
This is the river city Esgaroth from the hobbit. I am sure that barrel under the water was a little easter egg to reference the dwarves and hobbits riding the river to escape the woodelf kings castle in mirkwood.

Tbh. That part in the early battle where they were holding the gate because of the burning oil, I would’ve formed archers in a column formation and shot through the doorway

This mod is called Rise of Mordor, made for the game Total War Atilla. If you type in the name on Google, the offical page is on the website 'moddb.com'. If you get their link for the mod you're in the right place. There you'll find tutorials and all the information you need as well as the download of course.
I'm trying to download this mod but for some reason my computer is not recognizing the file can someone help me?
It's a little late, but in case you still need help. Do you have either 7-zip or Winrar installed? The mod comes packaged in a .rar file. So you need one of the two softwares I mentioned to open it.
A good adition to the mod would be if the eagles could come and do some damage on the enemy if the good forces are loosing, but its a random chance
Anyone else love the music from this mod? it's so cool that they took the score from LOTR and the Hobbit.

Game needs control points that effect the moral of your team. Pulling so many troops into a choke should cost you something. Great vid tho!

Hey Apollo k don't know if you will. But I'm wondering are you going to do any total war Warhammer 3? Just asking because I know you're not the biggest fan of the genre.

If Creative Assembly ever licenses LOTR for a TW trilogy like they did with Warhammer franchise they would make a sh*tload of cash. God I hope they do that at some point in the future!

Siege towers for such a small wall is overkill. Especially since they haven't even reached the walls yet and the gates were already broken down.
I never understand why, noting that rams break down key entrance gates, why the path leading up to any key gate is always so wide, straight and level. 🤣

halfway through and I'm thinking that the defenders should have been more aggressive with their defense as the wall should be able to hold back most of the enemy attacking it.
