Hey, when you go either forward or reverse (over the obstacle) when your boom is down, do you just use the forward motion on the tracks, or do you simultaneously pull/push on the boom at the same time? Thanks!
Did cris from let’s dig 18 teach how to do this? This definitely looks like something he would do or you would’ve learned from him he’s such an incredible operator
Hey mate im a apprentice electrician whos spent the last 6 months on electrical undergrounds. Love it. Found my thing that I wanna do. Watched all ur how to vids. Just got my excavator license the other day. Looking forward to getting out on the machine s
Do you think a move like this could get you over a 24" foundation wall so you could work inside the foundation then same move coming out? Or is 24" too high for a trick like this?
you get more clearance if you come up to the pipe diagonally then put your bucket over the other side and raise one whole track off the ground. all you do then is track forward with whatever track is on the ground up until the front of your track is about to touch the pipe. lower yourself down and you now have one track over and the other still on the other side. place your bucket 180 degrees from where you just had it and reverse (whatever track is on the ground) whilst slighlty adjusting and making your tracks more perpendicular to the pipes the more your boom straightens out. you are now over the pipe and you get far more clearance.
I would like to drive a shovel as you but I do not have enough years of available because I'm 61 years old .... Hi! Hi! Congratulations to you what control!
I did this one day in a new warehouse where it was still just a gravel floor and there had like a metal track across the whole building. The walls where up and I would of had to bascially go around the whole building to get back in so I said screw that lol. The boss man said u sure got over there fast cause he didnt see how i did it but he did when I was done and went back across lol.
@thequattro20v Yea it doesn't really matter which way you do it, I demoed a yanmar before buying the bobcat....before buying the bobcat. haha The yanmar had no balls to it.

Use both

No that is too high for a machine this size.
Thank you this helps me in my heavy equipment class for school so thank you
verry cool, this is one of the most practical/informative excavator videos I have seen. impressive
Always Good to see a young Man with Such a Bright Future Best to you and Yours.

Hi please can you do a video showing how you sort out a muck heap the fastest and most effective way

Great tip, thanks for sharing.
I have been on them for over 20 years
Instead of putting that massive strain on the blade, you could lower the blade as you lift the machine, in one simultaneous movement.
How long did you drive exvator(s)? =)
you operate an excavator. you drive a car
I'm doing this with the blade in front, becouse our yanmar will struggle to pull the hole excavator weight up.
Thanks so much for posting!
@BobcatNinja2124 Yea you got that right I did that in Bobcat 430 ZTS. Nice machine i have to say just got a to short of a reach for me.
Nice tip very informative, thanks alot!
You are awesome!!
Now all you need is a tank turret on it too!
