Loving this mic over your latest mic video of the mic/ears that came with your phone. But now I'm wondering, how did you install the mic into your helmet. It's the one thing I can't seem to be able to find anywhere on TH-cam. An easy explanation of how everything is installed/setup. From camera to mic, how it all connects etc

I have a helmet like yours but I just recently switched it to a flip-up visor helmet so I'm very curious about your mic line and where you're inserting it. Awesome video and I enjoyed your driving skills, along with the informational content.
great video, just curious if this type of setup would work for a hero 6 or 7. for the mic setup would i have to buy the media mod or could just run the adapter like you and connect the mic. also once everything is hooked up. it is as simple as just clicking record on the go pro and it will start recording audio and everything ?
I currently use a Hero 7 with the gopro mic adapter. The key to making sure it uses the microphone you've plugged in is to turn the camera on and then hit record. If you try to use quickcapture it won't use the external mic and default itself to the cameras audio
Dude found your channel through search. I have a GoPro hero 7 on my helmet and get so many fails on it. I watched your video on when you went from GoPro to insta360 now I’m here because ultimately I am thinking of getting the dji osmo action.
That was the option I was gonna go for but ended up going backwards in time to the Hero 4. The advantage is the GoPro has a slightly wider view in SuperView than the Osmo Action. Other than that I like the Osmo Action because it has a simple Mic Adapter that allows simultaneous charging.

The thing stopped recording, and then did the shutter and took like 300 pics no joke. I was so mad. I need to figure out something cause when I do, the GoPro is going on the handlebars. My wife stole my insta360 one x2 and put it on her bike 😆
Of course, I just ditched my Sena Prism Tube Wifi for a hero 8 black and case mod! Dang it, I wish I'd found this a week ago. Contrats on the 1.3k subs! I'm struggling and have barely broken 300. Any idea what your secret is, besides great content? I'd love to chat sometime! -jaysbigadventure
Don't give up on the hero 8, they may have fixed it. You'll have to try and see. As far as 1300 subs, I have no secret lol. I know the Duke 390 was popular and brought a lot of viewers. I think the most important aspect is always make and post a video that has intent. Its hard for people to stay on a video that has no point to them. Its a ton of trial and error. Just keep pushing and it will come.
I can't even imagine splitting Lanes. I just don't get it. First of all we're not allowed to do it here where I'm at. But still I don't know if I could do it even if it were allowed to. LOL

@openroadmoto honestly the Hero 4 is still probably the best overall value for getting started. The Hero 5 is runner up especially if you find one around $80

I need to NOT watch your videos because this just looks like too much fun, and I'll buy a motorcycle, hookup this gear, and riding (especially as a novice) is dangerous enough but then once I start ranting out a vlog I will for sure kill myself on camera.

You talked about common sense software issues that only computer illerdiate retards wouldn't figure out. Talk about the gear and its capabilities, not your shortcomings. That's my opinion.
