- Nissan is reportedly preparing to release the 2025 Nissan Elgrand as an answer to the presence of the newest Toyota Alphard and Vellfire.
As we know, the luxury MPV segment in Japan is dominated by Toyota, even though other manufacturers from Japan also have luxury MPV models, including Nissan. Not to mention, if you look back a little at the origins of the premium MPV with a boxy design, the Elgrand was the first model to become a pioneer in this class, followed by the Alphard.
But Toyota is one step faster to anticipate consumers in this cycle who want a new boxy Premium MPV by launching the fourth generation Alphard and Vellfire. This situation is making Nissan even hotter, especially since it is actually time for the Elgrand to be born in the form of a new generation.
